The art style of this game reminds me of the huge stained glass windows in old churches. The shimmering effects in the glass blocks were stunning!

I fully agree! It's so wonderfully distracting. ^-^ I think that the way light plays off and through an element is really important if you want to make it look like glass, and they sure did a great job. -W

Mossbag's lore video is pretty much THEE go to for lore, There is a bunch of stuff that is unknown from what is in the game but it is complete enough and made early enough that people didn't really bother to make their own cause it was basically all that was known was pretty much in his video. edit: forgot to congratulate you on radiance. So congrats. Also Sisters of battle is still my favorite boss in the game. Also as a note, you can pogo on the spikes that come out of the floor in radiance fight as well as on the spikes that come in from the sides. You might accidentally bounce off and hit another spike but it is possible to save yourself if your dash hasn't come back yet. Found that out while trying to grind radiant difficulty radiance. Which i still haven't beaten yet, though i believe i got to the 2nd stage if i remember right. I did it a long time ago so can't remember. edit2: and i found out I can't post links XD

Thanks! Yeah, Whimsy and I need to get around to watching Mossbag's lore videos. It might be a while before I get around to playing more Hollow Knight, but I will do my best to make use of your advice! -M

Yes, Hornet's music is a little different (all fights with their own special music get a different Godhome version) and yes, there should have been music in the menu after the fight; looks like you encountered that glitch again. What a journey this has been! I've loved your series and I'm looking forward to your next videos in the future. The go-to lore video in the HK community is "The (mostly) complete lore of Hollow Knight" by mossbag. He also has many other videos that do in-depth analysis of different lore elements in the game. Two playthroughs that I loved watching (apart from yours!) are the ones done by BornLosersGaming and Symbalily.

I enjoyed the playthrough thoroughly, thanks! As far as additional Godhome spoilers, the main one would be the Eternal Ordeal; you'll have to look up where to find it but it's worth a go. Make it to 57 and you get one of the more humorous easter eggs in the game.

Now I see why the editing took a little longer! What a treat! Astonishing job completing the fourth Pantheon! And getting almost all fights in Ascended! If you want to try PoH though, I will just say 'Prepare thyself!' :p I think I've mentioned this before, but you are the only KZfaqrs I've seen getting 112% withouth having the Void Heart. As @jaredbuttles1753 said, I had no idea you can't unlock the final Pantheon without it. Can't wait to see your reaction to what is coming!
@WithoutFathomProductions3 ай бұрын
Yeah, we didn't get it out at our usual time, but I hope it was worth it! I kinda wanted to leave the King Soul as an option for fighting in the hall, as it did help a little in some of the fights, but sadly it must be given up soon (so I am told). -M
@jaredbuttles17533 ай бұрын
Wow, I had completely forgotten that you only saw the first ending. I don't think I've ever seen anyone get past Pantheon 4 without having the Void Heart, so that was a bit of a surprise; didn't even realize it was required.
@WithoutFathomProductions3 ай бұрын
Whimsy had looked it up enough to know it would get rid of the Kings Soul, which I really like, so we waited until now. I had wondered if the requirement wasn't common knowledge though, thanks for confirming! -M

On soul tyrant, when he does the multiple down slams, instead of continuing to go in one direction, go the opposite way of which way you were going after every slam, and youll get the dashes off that way. Ive been stuck on the same pantheon for well over a year. Ive got the patterns down but purevessel gets me every time
@WithoutFathomProductions3 ай бұрын
I vaguely remembered your advice while recording the latest episode, lol. And keep at it, you can do it! -M
@jaredbuttles17534 ай бұрын
Pure Vessel seems intimidating but once you get his patterns down he's not too bad; he really does telegraph his attacks very well if you pay attention. You may want to stop using the Cyclone Slash on him, his block/retaliation move is difficult to avoid when you're locked in the spin.
@WithoutFathomProductions4 ай бұрын
Yeah, I just need to practice, and thanks for the advice about the spin! -M

Nice job! In my playthrough I decided to beat White Defender five times in the real world and it took me a crazy amount of time. It was good practice for the same fight in Godhome! And Failed Champion is one of the hardest fights in the game, so don't lose hope!

If you hit Grimm while he's bowing, his first attack will be the bullet hell one. Oh man, I had a LOT of trouble with the third door. When I played I didn't use the Nail Arts at all, so my go-to charms were: Unbreakable Strength and Quickslash (amazing combo), Mark of Pride, Sharp Shadow, Thorns, sometimes Spell Twister and Grubsong (I also tended to use a lot of spells). I think you can try removing Unbreakable Heart and go with Long Nail or Mark of Pride, so you can have more range (you gained a lot of damage by bumping into enemies). But then you will be missing two masks and you'll have to be more careful to not get hit as much. Also something very important to keep in mind is to avoid healing when you shouldn't. Wait for stagger phases or attacks where you can stay in one place (like Grimm's floor spikes) and gain one mask at a time here and there.
@WithoutFathomProductions5 ай бұрын
Thank you! I will try to work some of these in with my usual charms! -M
@jaredbuttles17535 ай бұрын
If you're asking for charm recommendations, the main inefficiency I see with your build is Shape of Unn. It's benefit is movement while healing, but you rarely use it and that's two free notches right there. I don't remember what your other charms are, but your play style is heavily nail art based (which is somewhat rare) so all the nail charms won't benefit you (Unbreakable Strength, Quick Slash, range charms). You do a lot of running between attacks so you might benefit from adding both sprintmaster and dashmaster, that combo increases your running speed by almost 40%. This would be my build for you: Nailmaster, sprintmaster, dashmaster, fragile/unbreakable heart, sharp shadow, and quick focus. I think that would suit your style, but as with all new charm combos it would take some getting used to.

Thank you, I am taking notes and will try this out in a future episode! -M

I find traitor lord to be surprisingly easy once you learn him, I actually beat him first try in both my radient hall of gods clears. Having minions is generally a bad idea with bosses that have stagger phases, during which you can heal 😁 Zote's other minions appear if you fight him multiple times using the statue in Bretta's basement. Four wins for all the flames to be lit and three more to turn the statue golden (afterwards you can't fight him anymore). And if you beat the minions there they will appear in the Hunter's Journal.
@WithoutFathomProductions5 ай бұрын
I'd had success with using minions against other bosses, and didn't really think about the fact that he had stagger phases, but as you saw, I quickly reverted to not using them. -M
