I'm not sure I've ever seen the inside of a lipo like that before. I thought they put confetti in their bot at first.

Awesome fights, Whiskit is really fast. Would love to get in contact with y'all about a future event.

Daaang. That was a great fight against Faraday. I've seen that thing destroy bots in the first encounter-but Spinoff kept coming at it again and again. Even ate those shufflers a bit. Nice work!
@ConstantlyDamagedАй бұрын
Some damn good fights there. First was a little slow (drive problems?), and seems to have an issue with getting back on its wheels, but a lot of damage potential in Winks.
@dandischinosvarietyhour1655Ай бұрын
Very solid performance, looking forward to seeing more of this bot. Any idea why the weapon bar came off at the end there?
@rose-hulmancombatroboticsteamАй бұрын
Because the aluminum weapon hubs were bending and seizing up, we ran a printed CF nylon hub this fight. It worked alright in testing, but Winks hits like a truck.
@dandischinosvarietyhour1655Ай бұрын
Damn dude, what's your drive setup like? Driving like youve got magnets
@rose-hulmancombatroboticsteamАй бұрын
Whiskit runs 2x repeat max drive motors on 4s, with some magnetic downforce. Very powerful, but it can get squirrely, especially if the gearbox screws loosen after bit hits.

bro how to control brushless 2 motor
@rose-hulmancombatroboticsteamАй бұрын
We use a drone esc (electronic speed controller) for each motor. With Blheli or AM32 firmware, you can enable bidirectional control and use them to drive the robots.
@quantumview81512 ай бұрын
Was that esc smoke against Tokyo drisk? Also, wow blindside's mini bot is indestructible!

this a metal floor?
@rose-hulmancombatroboticsteamАй бұрын
Yes, the floor is a steel plate painted with a rough texture for grip.

I think melty is not that great of a concept because it's weapon being entirely reliant on its drive meaning that if one of the motors give then its basically a crab walking weaponless push bot, if the reliability of the drive gets better then it might become a decent full body spinner.
@quantumview81512 ай бұрын
It will probably take a few iterations until you have a decent melty

I've never seen such a fast 2 wheeled bot with forks on the front. It does look pretty difficult to drive though.

It’s a mini Tombstone. This is a design that requires a lot of weight to work. Very cool to see someone try it out rather than the tried and true barrel spinner in this weight class.

That second battle Scurryfest lost that one so quickly how on earth did the judges think they won?
@rose-hulmancombatroboticsteam5 ай бұрын
I'd have to write a whole essay on this to fully explain, but a big part of it was the way points were scored for multibots. Anything you do to a single part of the multibot basically counts half as much as it would if you were facing a single opponent. For example, to get full points for damage against Scurryfest, one would have to disable the weapons on BOTH bots, and damage the drive system of BOTH bots as well. We were a bit disappointed with the decision, but the the Scurryfest team were great opponents with well polished designs, so at least they deserved their eventual tournament win.

Did you rip the weapon tooth off of Spinoff or is his spinner just shaped like that?
@rose-hulmancombatroboticsteam5 ай бұрын
Spinoff's weapon is cut from a single piece of AR500. Anomaly took a couple bites into into it, but it the weapon disk itself stayed in one piece.
