Glad you are able to pass on your knowledge to another young lady. You could include how to pick a safe campsite. A small pencil sharpener can be used to create shavings of sticks to create tinder for fire building. Navigation could also include night navigation using stars to find north and south. Wildlife safety, weather safety, and what to do when lost are all things you might consider adding. Since you are an artist consider some fun artsy projects using natural materials or nature journaling your adventures. Have fun!

Teaching classes? Happy you can accomplish the semblance of a secure knot holding tension, but that was not a demo worthy of instructor status. Keep learning and practicing before attempting to teach others what you are still obviously learning. Simplicity is good, but only when the simple method is also effective.

Loved this! We were in Breckenridge last week. We were looking for hiking trails and took Borealis Pass. I had no idea that the entire road was originally a narrow gauge rail line until we got to the top and read the historical marker. So I followed it on down and wound up where you are here. There was no one around, but i could tell some amazing work had gone into restoring all of this. Would be great if they could keep expanding the track along that Borealis road. Great video!

You didn't say at the beginning "Hi and welcome to Spirit Forest". lol' I think you're taking to heart what total strangers opinions are. Don't do that. Videos should be fun and who cares what somebody you don't know thinks? Do they pay your bills? Are they at your cabin or house at Christmas? Those people are the only opinions that matter. Next, I wish I could have recommended this before you stained over your daughters names and your dogs' paw print.....you could have taken up the boards, especially since the boards were put down with screws. You could have cut them into squares and mounted them inside or outside somewhere. Next, You can flip the boards on your deck over, stain that side and you get more life out of the same boards. It's work but so is replacing more and expensive boards. When I first saw your videos I thought you were hot. You are well educated it sounds like and everybody is different. You know no one pleases everybody so stop taking in other peoples criticisms, forget about it, relax 🙂

I sure needed to see this video. I love your paintings! I needed to hear about the pep talk to Madison too. I have been in a relationship for the last year and I let myself loose me. It was a mentally abusive relationship and as it gets worse and worse you finally wake up and are shocked at how you allowed the situation to happen. Well I left this week and started nursing school this week and now that my foot is all better I'm so excited to hike and paint again.
