Great battle, these GRs are rapid.

1) The McLaren is expensive, overly so. 2) The McLaren isnt useable everyday (my two kids cant sit in thebback of a McLaren). 3) In the wet the difference would be either negligible or the yaris might even be in front. 4) The yaris ia a tiner car, they're already making well over 800hp, one of those against any McLaren inlcuding the P1 would embarrass the brits. 5) People love the GR Yaris, every time I fill somone is asking questions about it, there's no tall poppy hatred about a Yaris and it's not cop bait.

Every track day you go to in the UK, has a Renaultsport of some description, giving the bigger cars something to think about. They are a proper drivers car, regardless if you like them or not.

The Yaris is a mean looking little car with the pumped guards and massive looking brakes. They also seem to go extremely well. That said I won’t be selling my Evo VI to buy one any time soon.

Did you notice, there is a lot of steering input on the 720s as compared to the Yaris.

Something is off with your front end vehicle dynamics. More than half the turns you're catching the car immediately after turn in even without power. You turn in and then unwind the wheel about half then reinitiate the turn. It's costing you more than a few seconds on track.

M4 driver not using good lines or full width of track. I have both cars. And the m4 driven well would leave gr standing.

I heard, that the windshield of the GR is very "fragile" against scratches (even from windshield wipers). Now I see a massive crack on this GR and wonder, if that might be true. But why?

Didn't hear a tyre squeak all through the video. The GR was definitely quicker into a corner and could have been pushed harder thru it.

I'm really tempted by the GR but I'll probably never do track days and its probably too capable and stable for the road if that makes sense. I guess I'm wondering if I could have as much if not more fun in a Fiesta ST on country roads. Have a less expensive, averagely fast and less stable but fun car... or this quicker weapon that would have you having to drive at licence losing speeds to be able to have the same fun?... and its not an easy decision to make.
