This seems to work mainly because he’s using premium Peco turnouts which all have a positive-engagement spring-loaded mechanism to hold the points in either position. I have the cheap old Atlas turnouts without that, so I’m trying to improvise some spring pressure somehow
@farmerdave79654 ай бұрын
There are youtube videos on how to add that spring to your turnouts.

Whatever sound chip is in that class 20 is not right. Sounds like a Sulzer engine.

Brilliant little layout, with loads of detail but not overly so. This is what i aspire to, people like yourself who have created an enjoyable shunting layout without huge outlay. Thanks for sharing, and subbed.

Hi Mike You've put together a really nice looking layout. Looking forward to seeing some trains running. Cheers
@daveday55075 жыл бұрын
It's nice to see a model railway where the trains don't charge around at 300 MPH. The transparent uncoupling ramp was used on Triang TT almost 60 years ago. Adjustment was very critical to avoid lifting the stock off the track. I do dislike the 'hand of god' technique.

The hand held ones are no good for uncoupling on a siding flanked by other sidings occupied by vehicles.
@bigchungus64783 жыл бұрын
I had that problem and I used a stick that was at a 90 degree angle to get right under the wagons but it depends how far apart your sidings are as mine are wider than they probably should be
