Perhaps, in time to come, people will be visiting sites of civilian massacre in Gaza, wondering how such savagery can exist. Never again? Never again.
@travelwithsean4093Күн бұрын
Yes, it's sad when terrorists use civilians as human shields. It's similar to Hitler when he converted factories into munitions plants and had military offices in residential areas.
@williamfurman204215 күн бұрын
Hitler's "Fortress Europe" which was dismantled by Russia, England, USA and eventually France as well, created millions of refugees, many of whom who lived and died in these wretched camps.
@travelwithsean4093Күн бұрын
Yes, the camps were intended for forced labor (slavery) and anyone not fit for hard labor was executed because they weren't needed. It's unfathomable how someone could think that acceptable, even 80 years ago.

Hi, great video! If you want to eat typical Costa Rican food, you should go to places called “soda” there are local restaurants most of the time manage by a Costa Rican family that sells typical food, has a lower price in compares son with the restaurants but also a great quality. All of this “sodas” are verified by the Ministry of Health, so don’t be aware that you will get sick for eating there, they have good food controls as well as the big restaurants. Is better to choose the soda that has more cars outside, that a tip that always work. Pura vida!

@travelwithsean4093Ай бұрын
That is a side-effect of recording voiceovers. I don’t have professional recording equipment, so as I record voiceovers, I might be a bit further away from the microphone and that can make my voice sound different; and voiceovers will sound different than being onsite.

Even though Bratislava (Pozsony in Hungarian) was the capital of the Kingdom of Hungary (1536 - 1783), I wonder how it became a Czechoslovakian territory after World War Ⅰ. Was there any political reason?
@travelwithsean4093Ай бұрын
That's a good question. After the dissolution of the Holy Roman Empire, Pressburg/Pozsony/Pressburg became part of the Austro-Hungarian Empire because it fell under the jurisdiction of the Vienna branch of the Hapsburg Dynasty. It's my understanding that it was during this time that there became a stronger nationalistic movement/sentiment among the Slovak ethnic group within the empire and upon the dissolution of the Austro-Hungarian Empire someone determined that the Slovaks, Bohemians and Moravians were all ethnically closer related to each other than they were to the Austrians, Hungarians, Transylvanians or any other ethnic group within that empire. So the decision to make Bratislava part of Czechoslovakia, rather than Hungary, was based on ethnic identity (or someone's perception of it).

Ten years from now, it will be worth coming here again. As you can see they are building on St George's Square. The buildings that were damaged in World War II and then demolished and blown up by the communists are being painstakingly rebuilt. The Royal Palace in Buda is being restored (inside-outside) to the way it was at the beginning of the 20th century!
