I havw owned a 2023 colorado trail boss foe 1 full year. I love tye truck bur have decide to sell it and buy a 2024 colorado zr2 to ge5 tye 3" lift with bigger 33" tires,the fron electronic locking differential and the sweet suspension that comes on this zr2. Nor surw yet what color i want it in. I reallky like the truck in the glacier blue,silver metallic,sand dune metallic or the uniqie harvest bronze metallic greenish looking color.

At 48k, it shouldn’t come with ANYTHING cheap! Sad how expensive these midsize trucks have gotten. But, as long as people are willing to pay the price, the seller will gladly take it.

Great buildout, thanks for the walk-thru. Did you go with the EDC top or the EXO top and how thick is your Hest(?) mattress. I have the EXO and using my backpacking inflatables as there is only 2” of space. But It fits in my standard 7’ garage as required by our HOA rules.

Awesome buildout! I'm looking to get a camper topper for my ZR2 in the future and have been gathering ideas on how to build out the interior. With that amount of battery and power you could try out induction cooking and an electric kettle/coffee maker. I'm looking to avoid carrying propane and would like to do electric for cooking and a portable diesel heater to bring along when needed.
@outlandishoverland
@outlandishoverland 5 күн бұрын
The coffee maker is electric but I like using propane for cooking as we carry it as well for our firepit. Those electric induction cooking are highly inefficient for the amount of power they draw. I also have a diesel heater that works great!

The road you took next to Sunrise Grocery is a fun little trail, with some great places for some nature photography. Never camped back there (it's only about 45 minutes from home), but I've seen many tents, so I know it's popular. Thanks for the info about Charlie's Creek - I'm going to have to head up there!

Great idea with the disconnecting sway bar! However, after 40 years of off-roading, I can hear some rattling and see quick wear of those pins. I know exactly what those pins are and they’re made of a mild steel designed for light duty stuff. It is a niche type product so don’t dump a bunch of cash into research but, I like the idea and I’m sure that other gear heads will to so, don’t stop creating and inventing!!!!

@@outlandishoverland thanks for your response! For anyone that reads this, very legitimate website. Maybe a bit dated in the sense you can’t really contact them or check order status. I hadn’t received anything aside from an automated email after my order. A Google search doesn’t seem to show this specific website link and everything pointed to Dominator website instead. Next time use the Terrain mode, one pedal driving makes easier to modulate throttle/brakes. You going too fast, slow down a bit.
@outlandishoverland
@outlandishoverland 14 күн бұрын
One pedal driving is terrible. I don't want to always brake when I let off the throttle, I like to be fully in control of the vehicle and the terrain mode prevents me from doing that. Not sure what you mean I'm going to fast as I am going pretty slow over obstacles....

Hope yours works out. But from my judgement, theres a reason why theyre cheaper than the Tacoma and better equipped. All Ive heard are horror stories. Hopefully Chevy figures it out.
@outlandishoverland
@outlandishoverland 16 күн бұрын
I'm not sure what horror stories you have heard but from the several FB groups I'm in, they are mostly positive reviews. The early 2023 models had some bugs and issues with their infotainment but that has been fixed with software updates. Unlike the Toyota lately with Tundra engine failures recalls I would say Chevy is doing pretty good. No way you are justifying the cost of Tacomas right now.

Nice truck! Curious…how did those heavy @$$ Falken 35s affect your performance and gas mileage!?
@outlandishoverland
@outlandishoverland 17 күн бұрын
Performance wise you really don't feel them driving around, the torque the 2.7L makes is more than enough to move them around. Gas mileage took a little hit the problem is I put on the topper and tires very close to each other so I don't know exactly which affected my MPG more but I dropped with the addition of both about 2 MPG. I average currently on the highway at 70-75 MPH at around 15-16 MPG
