If you wan to can the product and store for an extended period, it has to be filled hot. That ensures the sterility of the preserve.

2-3 TSP water I have added. Sometimes water not needed. As cabbage leaves some water and tomato also releases some water, so if cabbage many times you can cook without adding water too.
