Based upon the poor performances, lucky fixtures, favourable refereeing decisions (Kanes pen last night). Believe me I’m thrilled England are in the final, but if you were to say they’ve performed like a team that deserves to be in a final, you’d be incredibly bias imo

@@cf_woody okay, that’s a personal opinion, not fact though. Favourable draw is not at all our problem. We beat who we had in front of us. The penalty being given was completely valid. If anything, it’s 50/50 at most. How do you feel about Portugal’s euro win? Did they not deserve it? It was probably the worst performing team to ever win a National tournament. Far worse than England have been. And what about Greece’s Euro win. They were very “anti-football”; much more so than England. Would you say either of these teams didn’t deserve their euro win, because I certainly wouldn’t. You’re saying I’m biased but I’m arguing any team that gets to any stage of any competition deserves to be there, save for any literal corruption or cheating.

@@TheASMRMedic of course it’s personal opinion, that’s why I made the video 😂 and I’m sorry we’re gonna agree to disagree on the penalty decision With regards to Portugal and Greece wins, I appreciate they obviously got the jobs done, but as you’ve pointed out, Portugal we’re the worst performing team to win a tournament, so again based upon team performance no they didn’t deserve to win the tournament. I fully appreciate it’s a results business and England have got the results against who they’ve played to get there (which is all they can do). My point is if you viewed the entire tournament as a whole, I wouldn’t say England have performed like a team worthy of winning the tournament. Again that is the beauty of knock out football anyone can do it in 90 mins

@@cf_woody the fact you don’t think Portugal deserve a Euro title, despite fairly winning, is all I need to know. Genuinely baffling. You can say they were anti-football, or played poorly, or were “lucky”. But to say they deserve it any less than any other winner is crazy. Is Slovakia beat us, would they deserve to be in the next round? Because they were also crap and not playing enjoyable football. Did Switzerland deserve to beat us? They didn’t play particular ‘better’, and we beat them squarely on pens. Did Netherlands deserve to beat us? Because to me, I see a team that on the balance of play were not better than us (which appears to be the single metric by which you are judging whether a team deserves to progress). And they conceded a penalty which was granted within the laws of the game and concede a fair final minute goal. How can you say any of those teams deserve to beat us? Or deserved to be in the next round when by your own metric, they were not *better* than us. If that’s the case, then who deserves to be in the final with Spain?
