Subarus are kings of snow and mud, maybe can also do a little climbing. It is NOT an proper off-road vehicle, so don't do things from which you cannot recover. Putting a boxer engine, which already sits low, in deep water is nothing but idiotic. Subaru has very good AWD system, but does not have a snorkel.

Waded flood yesterday...longer stretch and a bit deeper. During wading, car almost died but kept throttle. Now my xv timing is like inconsistent at low revs.....abnormal. Luckily still able to drive home. Why? Solutions?
