Hi Pink Buddha, hope you're doing well! Nice video, I am actually looking to buy this kind of mixer, and the tascam was a candidate for my setup, I'm happy to find your video! You have already helped me in the past =)

I wasn't at all impressed by the pianos, or the rhodes, in the Fabric XL bundle, sounds like outdated workstation sounds, flat, dead, and with no dynamics whatsoever....

I absolutely love FM, I just wish there were more pure FM sounds in the presets but I get it and they do sound pretty good on average. The range of sound you can get is just so wide with FM it completely blows away analog in my book. I like analog too but FM is just way more useful but can be tough to go for specific sounds sometimes I think it's best to do dedicated sound design sessions with FM but maybe that's my inexperience talking. I mean I've done a fair amount of programming FM, but not nearly enough to have that kind of knowledge at least to where I can just imagine a sound and program it, I can take it in directions sure that's mainly how I go with FM, pick a general direction and see where it ends up

Great review! As a consumer, when you buy software and hardware, it would be great if you just plugged it in and everything would be mapped out and working properly. I get real disappointed when it doesn't and you spend hours trying to make them work together. I know some do but just when those times they don't. 🤦♂

Ok I have a question I have not been able to figure out. There are 128 Midi tracks. I don't need that many but lets say I wanted 24 tracks. Does that mean I could record 24 tracks from hardware synths or would an external hardware synthesizer be an audio track?
@PinkBuddhaAcademy26 күн бұрын
It might be both, because it would be midi going out to send what you want the hardware to play. But then you need an audio track to record the audio coming back in.

Lol...I was trying to figure out an artist name and was completely stuck. So I started to free associate from whatever was around me. Started naming things in my house. Door Knob, White Pillow, Green Rug.... Finally came across this Buddha head that I spray painted hot pink....and was like Pink Buddha....and then realized, wait, that actually works! 🤣🤣🤣

If you look at the updates from push 2 release to when push 3 were released, this is pretty much all your going to get and any update with be a fix rather than a massive addition or something it just should have in standalone. When you compare the force to the push 3, you realize that a lot of your wishlist could have been implemented but wasn’t. Meaning that the functionality exist as a standalone device already. Kind of like buying a sampler and only being able to import samples on an SD card. I’ve always wanted a push but just felt like the functionality was never truly standalone or even “no need to look at the screen” like the live software or even maschine in most cases.

Sadly the Force is the clear stand alone winner. I liked Maschine better but needed the force to make complete songs. The Force is the winner if you want to work without a computer. You didn't mention audio quality and bugs. The force has bugs that are un explainable but the quality of the sound is very good. I have produced a whole album WITHOUT a computer using the force and it sounds better then most of what I hear out there.

I had a mk1 years ago and I really loved the pad perform mode, but the analog drum voices were pretty crap IMHO. I think my Electron Analog 4 actually makes better drum voices.

Mk1 and Mk2 are very different machines. Lots of updates between now and "years ago", too.

@@EVILJAMARR did they make the basic tone of the analog machines any better? They always sounded "wrong" to me. Back in the day I sold the mk1 and bought a TR8s and was much happier with it as a drum machine. For me the Rytm is a weird machine it has some amazing features but the analog drums just don't sound very good to my ears.

My favorite drum machine, and I've owned plenty in my day. Analog Rytm MK2 never leaves my desk. You probably know this, but the "fix" button at the top will give you velocity options for the pads.
