I was 12ish when it came out and the video had me so confused. I know know at 48 yrs old it was just mirrors but unusual idea for a video.

Hello Maurice I've just come across and watched this 20+ minute interview with you & Gary and I went to see him at Birmingham last Friday 31/05/2024 and it was truly amazing!! I went with 2 other lads who I went to see him at Wembley(The Old One) to the "Living Ornaments" in 1981 ( I was Only 17 back then) I am nearly 61 now !!..........where has the time gone?? 43+ years ago? ......Anyway it was great to see him live singing the classic Replicas / Pleasure Principle LP's.........When Gary set up with Tubeway Army he was well ahead of his time back then as when you think that "Are Friends Electric" was about robotic prostitutes with the oncoming AI and other technologies it says it all really. He came along at the right time as Punk was a fast explosion between 76 & 80 that went as quick as it came because I know I was a Punk also at the time and with the advent of New Romantics & Electronic that was the time to be ahead of curve so to speak?.........Great Interview / Great Gig at B'ham / Great to reminisce and reflect on the last 45+ years and Many Thanks Paul. Ps I was also a great fan of John Foxx / Ultravox / OMD / Human League / Heaven 17 / Depeche Mode / Simple Minds and anything with a Synth!!!

Fully agree Paul, am same age and me and my best friend collected and ordered every Album or 12'' Maxisingle on Synthpop, Electronic music which was released at that time. Beside the commercial success of above bands there were also interesting alternative Electro Indiebands like Portion Control, Severed Heads (Australia), Hula, etc. Cheers from Frankfurt.

The fact that he underplays the brilliance of are friends electric is a testament that he doesn't understand what set it apart in quality compared to the industrial goth slop he makes today

Great to see Gary revisiting his incredible back catalogue, I think it would be something to see Gary create a film score for a futuristic film and team up with someone like Hans Zimmer.....

Such a gent. Back in the day when he lived in Surrey, if you knocked on his front door he would open up, sign autographs and chat for ages. Amazing person. Best thing about his electronic music, is that he kept a traditional drum kit, which was unheard of at the time.

Love how he explained the way he will not change the old songs . But make it bigger thicker. True talent

Ich bin 58 Jahre alt. Ich bin mit der Musik von Herrn Gary Numan aufgewachsen. Herr Numan ist ein sehr netter und höflicher Mensch. Schön das es Gary Numan gibt.

Always been a big fan of Gary’s music. I thought the last album definitely wasn’t his best. Please get back to the more darker and heavier style that suits you best. I’m all for saving the world etc,but it doesn’t suit your style. All the best
