After about three months I have changed-out the stock front and rear diff rings. I have up graded to the hardened steel ones. Installed a light kit for head and tail lights. The body cracked near the one tail light, causing light tub to partially to pop out. Re-installed with shoe-goo and fiber-glass mess.3 out 5 stars. I love my Armma 4s Mojave Desert truck it is a fast and a tank for bashing, much more durable.

Frog was the 3rd vehicle on the orv chassis btw
@cogboy30210 күн бұрын
The Frog was the first release on the ORV vhassis. Not the Brat. The Frog came out in 1984. It was Tamiya's new flagship after they discontinued the SRB chassis cars. I got one in October ''84 and I still have it.

That thing goes and turns a lot better than I anticipated! I dont think Tamiya purposely chose lwb specifically, perhaps because the bodies they wanted to release happen to be longer, however lwb is typically more stable to drive. I wonder if you like the handling on road more than your on road models is due to the extra roll (traction) it provides

I've unfortunately never really had a lot of luck with M05 models but this one was a nice surprise. I've driven the M03 and M07 and even the FF03 and FWD Mini Z and they drive great! M05 just doesn't seem to like me very much. I wish I could've experimented with this one a bit longer but unfortunately I let it go recently alone with most of my M chassis cars for new projects ;)

Also i want to ask u a question.ive just recently built a 2016 Tamiya Blackfoot.after 1 run,the grub screws that hold the pins in the drive shaft ends came loose on both sides.now i have a 4375kv brushless with 50c 3s lipo so i know its probably way too much power but i love it and its awsome but after every run i have to check these pins.ive put some tape around the outside of were the pin slips in so if it comes undone it cant come out no matter what.my question is,have u had this issue? And can i replace these drive shafts and the axles from the Frog gearbox?i hope u can help mate.thanks.
@snipereliete23 күн бұрын
That is absolutely ridiculous.the manufacture is an idiot.many of us buy aftermarket batteries and would not expect to have the polarity reversed.this is a stupid attempt to stop people from using there own batteries so u only buy this company's batteries.the best thing about our hobby is even a failure like this is a learning experience.ive done similar things in the past but that was 100% my stuff up.but this is something else.

I've always wanted a CR01. I'm just not interested in competition crawling so I like the more interesting chassis designs and layouts. The CR01 always intrigued me in this way, it's such a silly design when you think about how crawler chassis are designed today and to see it doing so well despite this fills me with warm fuzzies. Great mods you've done to the truck, I love the way you have your taillights set up and I'm looking forward to more CR01/Gmade uploads! From one Gmade fan to another, I hope you have an awesome day and may you never lose a grub screw on the trail!

Planes are neat, but seem very intimidating to me. Very sorry to hear about your cat. We lost our 10 year old Grey a few months ago. Shortly after I found a kitten in my yard, and while he isn't a replacement for my Grey, caring for him has definitely helped heal our sadness.

I found that I got a tiny bit more articulation from repositioning the dampers, and the ball ends where the dampers mount. I think Tamiya just had us build them with mid range articulation.

The buggy is really awesome, just sucks it’s not very popular 😞 Mine didn’t come with pre-filled shocks though… so maybe check if they’re filled before extensively driving it… I recently upgraded mine with steel universal drive shafts front and back 😎

Great to see you posting videos again! I'm very sorry to hear about the loss of your cat! It's amazing how pets impact our lives with their unconditional affection, demanding nothing in return (...well other than food of course 😀) Keep the good memories in your heart, and enjoy doing the things that brings you joy and positivity 😊 All the best, Toby!

That look so good, is that an 90s model or new it has those vintage colors
@chibiskyrcАй бұрын
It's a newer model. It's a homage to the old 90s Losi JRXT race truck. It is a limited edition of 5000 so you will have to look on eBay or dust one off at a hobby shop somewhere that still has one.

Ive not forgiven losi for not re re the 1/10 stuff. But these mini do handle great just like i the 1/10 stuff but way smaller. I got a junk ebay brushless set up for mine. That cheered it up alot.

Hi! Looks like a fun little truck, but would have loved to see these rereleased in 1/10 scale. I have a vintage LX-T in the collection, but driving this on a track is definitely out of the question. A new 1/10 vintage series with parts support...yes please!! 😊
@chibiskyrcАй бұрын
I think the truck would've been more popular if it was released as a 1/10 rerelease, but I'm personally really loving all the high quality 1/18 and 1/16 cars Horizon Hobby has been releasing :)

Mate i want to say a massive thankyou for your videos u have taught me so much and ive been in the hobby for 40 years.for example.i just bought a 2016 Blackfoot.u taught me that Lunchbox tyres r the way to go.also u taught me about 12mm extended hex for my Gyro Stabilised Super Hornet.thats just 2 i can think of.but keep doing what u do i look forward to future videos.as a Tamiya Purists and a Blockhead Motors addict its great to see someone who is as passionate as this hobby as i am.im really pushing the limits of these cars with 4000kv brushless motors and 11.1v lipos.but i build my cars tough and they work so it makes me happy.like this Blackfoot im using a 16 tooth frog pinnion gear with Surpass Hobby 4375kv brushless.im thinking once the diff goes ill invest in the MIP diff but its like $60+ Australian and thats not including shipping.take care and keep driving.

If you’re still running a Tamiya in 2024 credits to you! I will be picking up a cc02 and heavily modding it to be able to compete with the axials scx10’s, vanquishes, and Traxxas trx’s. I remembering running a Tamiya TL01 for a local touring car race back in my olden days where they had the hpi pro 2’s and yokomos. I somehow won with whatever setup I had on my TL01 and took home a 1:10 Tamiya f1 kit for first place. Everyone tripped out after they found out what chassis I was using to race with and win against the big boys lol. Best memory I have of my Tamiya stuff for sure. I also had a a hpi pro 2 and a yokomo touring car at the time but I enjoyed the feel of the Tamiya TL01 better so I decided to use that instead. Thanks for the video my dude! Old video but great.
@chibiskyrcАй бұрын
I still love my CR01 and CC02 :) My CC02 is relegated to trail and light rock crawling but my CR01 still does its fair share of heavier duty rock crawling. It's certainly way improved now with all my upgrades than shown in this video. The CR01 will never be a high performance rock crawler, but it does keep up fairly well to a number of crawlers I have and had like stock Axial Capras, GMade R1, and GMade GS02Fs. I've moved on to mostly GMade vehicles because they still give me the Tamiya feel with the way they are designed but a little bit more standard size and better performing.

Thanks for the comparison. You did a great job. The Mad Van is such a good performer for a van. I guess the body really doesn't effect it stability that much. It sure dose look nice.
