I’ve only recently gotten Mario Kart 8 Deluxe and the hardest track to win in is definitely Rainbow Road. I spent LOTS of hours trying to get a triple star ranking in the 200cc variant and when I was nearing the finish line in first, this is what it felt like: 3:21 as someone who had to listen to that theme so many times, that hit HARD!! I’m quite late in discovering this medley but it couldn’t have come at a better time. Amazing work!

How did you get the tone bro? It kinda sounds like you used fortin nameless but i might be trippin. Can you share it if you have it still?
@luludelarosa
@luludelarosa Ай бұрын
It's the Petrucci Rhythm patch from the axe-fx II (probably with an extra TS808 in front to get more of that nameless type low cut)! If you want the same type of tone, you can emulate it with anything that goes like: picking hard in passive pickups → drive pedal to cut lows(which boosts high mids and is responsible for the majority of the vibe i'd say) → mesa boogie → a dark cab, with V30's and and off axis 57 → a slow, dark, chorusey delay

@mortalcoil1541
@mortalcoil1541 27 күн бұрын
@@luludelarosa i looove sharp picks too, i use a .88mm Tusq pick(doesnt bend somehow) that's in essence a Dunlop Jazz 3 with more of a point rather than having a slight round at the very tip like an actual Jazz 3. I gave it a try once and it became my new favorite pick and replaced my Jazz 3s. I couldn't agree with you more pointy picks are meta. I'm looking for pointier, thicker, and more ergonomic picks right now a matter of fact.
@mortalcoil1541
@mortalcoil1541 2 күн бұрын
@@luludelarosaso I bought the Dunlop tortex sharps and I’d say I’m still more of a fan of smaller jazz 3 style picks. I ended up landing on the Ernie ball prodigy jazz style pick. I also bought the Ernie ball prodigy with the same shape profile as the tortex sharp(can’t remember the discerning name difference there’s many different types of Ernie ball prodigy picks and it doesn’t have that name on the pick other than prodigy). I can honestly say the prodigy that resembles the tortex sharp in profile is absolutely sharper as it has actual carved/molded blade edges which is something I noticed that tortex picks don’t really have. Having tried both of them I can definitely recommend the Ernie ball prodigy to you as it has the same exact angle and profile if you line them up together. assuming you want a pointer/sharper pick and you haven’t already tried it of course. As far as I know they come in 1.5mm and 2.0mm 😁

@luludelarosa
@luludelarosa Ай бұрын

Beautiful!!! Please tell me what software you used to compose this!
@luludelarosa
@luludelarosa Ай бұрын
the software i use is Cubase, but, in case you (or anyone reading) aren't familiar with DAWs: Digital Audio Workstations are usually the backbone of a music software, but, if you want to create music with beautiful sounds, you're meant to add extensions (plug-ins, VST, libraries), that are often third parties to it. In the case of virtual orchestral music making, the most prominent plugin on the market is Kontakt, which itself is just a controller in which you can add, again, sound banks (kontakt libraries) made by independent brands. What I'm getting at is, this song here was made using dozens of plugins and kontakt libraries I've collected over the years, cherrypicked to my liking, so it would be a lie to say the fact i used Cubase here mattered in any way, the sounds come from a myriad of places, and i frequently obtain new libraries and ditch some, so i wouldn't even be sure what many of these were unless i loaded that old project and everything was intact!
