At 8:28, was it really better to make your opponent burn a discard spell than to attack with a phoenix and empty your hand anyway? I feel like that was a missplay... also why would you not play your treasure cruise. "It gives your opponent cards to discard" but otherwise they will thoughtseize your cruise, that feels like a game loss to me.

For game 2, i took out all my Arclight Phoenix and transformed into Izzet Drakes. I beat leyline of the void that way, and i'm able to blank more of their removal and cards against me, since drakes don't care where the spells are.

Not playing the Leyline G2 was not the greed play - he just didn't have white mana, hence why I took herd migraion as it was the only card in his hand he could use ❤

I added case of the gateway express. With a turn one ornithopter gleeful into a turn 2 this, thats removal and a lord effect mixed into one card

@@oldemodave it could maybe work against a control deck to make incrimental damage and wait out a field wipe but even then I’d probably just run invasion of gobakhan over that. But I do think it’s got place in an anim deck as it makes more tokens after attacks anyway

Great video! Also, at the end, Harri did misplay with the Takenuma. You have to return a creature to your hand (or planeswalker) if there is one. It looks like he milled a prosperous innkeeper so he could have picked that up and just convoked the return to the ranks for the Amalia since he couldn’t hard cast either creature

greasefang is like a 90s era turbo motor, if you catch it going 2500 rpm you can pass it but when it has revs it takes off in turn 3 GGs

Kudoltha is not strictly better btw - gleeful can destroy an opponents artifact in a pinch, and also if opp has an effect that prevents you from saccing permanents for costs then you cant cast rebirth
