He did not like the whole acting film making process I've also read this is when his drug addiction really kicked in. It majorly bums me out he's never really made any more movies only cameos. Would love to see him and 50 cent together in a movie. 50 has tried to get him to do one but never happened.

In mine, the opening dungeon scene is so dark you can barely tell what's going on, it really put me off and made me kinda prefer the old bluray, which I gave away once I got this. I also don't think the picture quality is all that great either. It looks better than the old blu-ray, but I didn't think it was that good. In mine the audio mixing was also weird, I had a hard time hearing some of the dialogue, and it seemed to be quieter than the music and sound effects.

I saw Doctor Sleep at the cinema. The scene with the baseball kid had me in floods of tears.

My biggest disappointment in 4k- Dead And Buried. Reviews prior to buying it said it was a fantastic restoration, but it looked so dark and muddy the entire time, i dont know what the reviewers were smoking

The Fog is a masterpiece from start to finish. Do you have the Shout Factory release in your collection? I highly recommend getting this for the sake of the Dolby Atmos track! Also the remastered mono track is quite impressive and the transfer even slightly better than the StudioCanal one. I used to be at Point Reyes lighthouse many years ago when I visited my relatives in Sacramento. Such a spectacular view from up there and you wouldn't expect how high this spot is located when you see it in the movie.

For every crappy sequel or reboot of classic movies, every once in a while we do get something that doesn't suck, and Dr. Sleep is definitely one of those. Solid sequel for sure. Also, had no idea until watching some of the extra features the guy playing Jack Torrance was Henry Thomas, aka Elliot from E.T.

I’ve seen a German steel book edition of this I’m thinking of ordering, this film has a strange vibe throughout , very underrated With that edition you have , they could of loaded one edition with postcard art and put a nice hardcover book in the other one…bit of a missed opportunity there

Urgh , i think i left my comment on this on another channel 😂. I got the usa edition that has the director cut 4k code and 4k theatrical disc. Criminal that they shafted the 4k disc as its awesome.

What a list of absolute bangers you picked in general Keith and i hope on the off chance some people bought some if they somehow havent heard of them. I have to agree that theatre of the mind works so well to let you imagine the carnage and brutality of a scene that was off camera, they actually did that quite well in Halloween 2018 at the petrol station. From the original Halloween i have to mention when Michael is standing quite close to Annie at the back door when shes on the phone and walks to the side as she turns around was very creepy. I wasnt scared of alot of scenes that i supposed to when i was little such as nightmare on elm street ceiling scene, we were 7 or 8 and laughing at it thinking it was cool, and same in alot of other horrors. I had to see them as an adult and understand why they were supposed to scary. Great picks Keith, and i knew John Carpenter would feature of course. Just an edit here, but thinking back of a scene that creeped me a bit as a kid was actually tim curry pennywise at the clothesline when he takes the child, definitely that over the sewer drain with georgie, it was all about his face stuck in my head.

I watched it for the first time not too long ago and loved it. I watched the extended cut but may watch the theatrical also for the differences.

Absolutely loved this movie and was not expecting to. I had this release and sold it. I want to get the HD Zeta release as I like it way better. Too bad, now on the aftermarket, it is way too expensive.

Hi Keith, Great video as always my friend. I purchased this when it came out on streaming Apple 4K , Dolby vision and Atmos. One of the best atmospheric mixes to date IMO, I wanted the physical disc but I believe the directors cut was missing vision or Atmos ??? Definitely a second watch as the streaming mix and visuals are top notch, great film all around and damn that’s a great edition lad. 🇺🇸✌️🇮🇪

The director's cut of this film is a masterpiece whle the theatrical feels like its missing something to make it truly special.

If you watch this film..The directors cut is a must!..it was a good follow up to the shining!

The Overlook Hotel looks totally different just because of the way Stanley Kubrick filmed it originally.

I saw a movie years ago, when I was far too young called Sleepaway camp. Not the best slasher movie ever but the ending is totally mental and stuck with me. Just weird, creepy and kinda disturbing all at the same time 😬🫣

Hey Keith, I was really surprised how good Dr sleep was especially following such an iconic film as the shining. I have seen it twice and have been looking forward to seeing a third time. Just a small nit pick the door with redrum on it in the shining had both panels missing when it cuts back to Wendy but in Dr sleep only one is missing. The rest of the overlook was absolutely amazing. Fun fact: Did you know when Kubrick finished the shining the set/sound stage for main hall of the overlook was changed and used for the well of souls in raiders of the lost ark.

Love all these Film Arena sets but can never get any of them. Would love it if you did videos announcing the new release sets coming out so we at least have a chance

Hi, I love this film, as you say, it's a shame the director's cut is only available on blu ray, because I think it is better than the theatrical cut (even though it is still a great film). I'd say, 4.5/5 for the theatrical cut, and 5/5 for the director's cut. 🤞 for a 4k director's cut at some point.

When this film first came out I watched about 15 minutes of it and fell asleep. It was only when you recommended it to me last year, Keith, I watched it again all the way through. What was I thinking, falling asleep, I thought the movie was absolutely brilliant. This does look amazing in 4K, the colors really pop out. This is a really premium looking edition Keith, simple but sexy. Great looking artwork on both editions. I was also impressed with the actor who portrayed the Dick Hallorann character, he did Scattman Crothers proud.
