yeah you didn t know popeye moved in with el chuey he tryed to grape him one night chuey got scared ran away to nm changed his name to tuco and moved in with his uncle hector but i also heard of a story about him or him and his brother hooking up with Anne Hathaway and one of the mammas and pappas kids but i don t know all the details of that story i just know it happened before he ran away to nm

Popeye's voice looks like it was dubbed in a lot of times in this movie. Like someone else did his voice. The original movie's audio editing of his voice is just weird.

It’s called ADR. It’s when they re-take the line in studio. It usually means the audio in the original video wasn’t good so they replaced it. The original actors have to still voice it, but to your point, the post production team didn’t mix it well. You can hear the tonal/timbre difference. It needed to blend in more with the room noise.
