As usual Ann, I found your video to be very informative as well as the great ability to cause me to chuckle along with you. I too suffer from my nut falling far from the tree!! 😂😂 Now I can steal your lining up the pans to paper idea - I felt so silly when you showed how simple it was, then chuckled right along with you. These two reasons are why I shall always enjoy your channel, always be proud to be a member, and always feel less alone with my awkwardly far away nuts 😂😘🎨🖌️👩🏻🎨💜 Off to watch the latest member video - I was fast asleep when this one and the member one came out. Enjoy your morning when it arrives, not to mention the all important ☕️💜

This paint is so versatile! It’s not like the sumi inks but it can absolutely be used on unsized paper. This is why I like it for crafters so much-for bullet journaling and card making the natural properties of this paint really create wonderful effects. 💜💜

Great idea on the vitamin! I’m not one for consistency, so I’ve been drawing/painting mine in clumps too. In my watercolour notebook, I first wrote down all of the prompts for world watercolour month and July 2024 Urban Sketchers. It’s my first time doing either. Because I’m so new to art, and have little to no experience, I’m first sketching out the doodles with an 5H pencil, before painting it with watercolour (even though it’s the Urban Sketchers prompts). Depending on the drawing, I also go over the pencil with my Pilot CH92 M fountain pen, filled with Platinum Carbon Black (a waterproof fountain pen ink). Because it’s has a medium nib, when I use it normally (nib facing up) I get a regular medium line. When I use it upside down, it produces an extra-fine line, which is really nice to have variety, especially since the drawings in my sketchbook are 2cm x 3cm at most.
@artonthecreek8 күн бұрын
This is so wonderful!!! I’ve heard of the Urban Sketchers prompts but never participated. Now I will have to go check them out! Carbon Black Ink is one of my favorites-I use it in the fountain pen I have in my plein air kit. You’re absolutely right about turning the nib face up or down to vary line width!! I love that technique and use it often-easy way to vary your lines! Have a lot of fun this month and thank you so much for watching and commenting👩🏻🎨🙌🏼🎨🖌️

The red of the raspberries makes me think of pomegranate seeds. I do like Sarah's color cubes and i have them. There is a channel creator on here who goes by Emma LaFebvre. She is amazing when it comes mimicking or matching colors with her professional Winsor and Newton paints. She can make any color at all with those paints. In my opinion there is no one better than her when it comes to color mixing. And she is a good artist.

These cubes remind me of the WIRSIT INSPO posts on the Jamieson and Smith blog.... have you ever seen them? They take a photo of something in the Shetland Islands and match the colors from the photo with their (enormous) selection of shetland wool. In my ind, the idea then is to take one of the color sets and use them in a color work pattern. The final result is miles away from the original inspiration but the colors should work together beautifully...... I have one of their books; remind me to show it to you!

Actually I have seen them and I follow them on Instagram. At least I think it’s the same group-really beautiful wool created from the colors in a field of heather, for instance. Their photos like that are so pleasing to look at!!
