Thank you for your video. I’ve had a goldfish plant for 4 years and never pruned it. It never had any problems but also never flowered! It recently started dropping so many leaves all at once. Please help!

In the video, you said the plant doesn't typically have a problem with soil. However, my daughter tried several times to grow this plant from seeds I'd purchased for her for her birthday this year. She had a heckuva time getting the seeds to sprout then stay sprouted afterwards. She tried soaking them overnight, first, then planting in soil from the store. She tried freezing them overnight then putting them in soil. She tried just putting them in soil without doing anything. The end result with these methods is that the seeds either didn't germinate at all, or only a few did but then didn't keep growing! The only method that was partially successful for her was putting them on a damp paper towel in a plastic bag theb placing that in a sunny window. The seeds germinated and began growing beyond the initial sprouting. She waited until they looked like they'd be healthy enough to tolerate being transferred to the potting soil before transferring them. Unfortunately, most of the germinated seeds died. There were a few that kept growing for a little while, but eventually those died, too. We were so sad! I just bought a live plant from someone and am trying to get it to revive from shipping. I'm concerned about the part where you said they usually only live until they bloom then you have to start over by planting the seeds. Ahhhh! That's what we haven't been successful with! Could you please tell us what more we can do to get future seeds to germinate and thrive in potting soil??

Thank u for this short video. May i ask, why is it my rosemary stems that i placed in water for rooting had turned dark brown colour although I am using the younger & green colour softwood for propagation?? Am staying in the tropical region in those hot & humid weather of Malaysia.. please advise as i am awaiting such stems to root in water. Stems bought from supermarket fresh market counter which was meant for kitchen dishes..

There can be a lot of factors why roots are not propagating.Your water PH levels are perhaps too high.My suggestion is that you order powder for rooting,it's very cheap,it's like 2,3€ here..When you cut the branch(45° angle) you just dip it into this powder(there's paste as well) and you dip it directly into soil. You spray it with water, put a plastic bag on top of it and put it on a window. Every day open the bag and see if it's moist, keep it moist for 5days and remove the bag. It works like a charm. High humidity levels are what u need to aim for for proper root propagation.Good luck

If you cut the plant lower will it still grow? And how do you know if the pot it's in is two small or big. Can you take rosemary from a different pot and put it all together? Sorry for the questions, I just bought 5 rosemary pots!

Really? Very common here in Chicago. Have you looked in the outdoor plants? That is where they are. They aren't considered indoor plants

I have one, though it seems the leaves on mine are more slender. It was only 4-5 inches tall when I got it, looked great, but as it grew, it started to collapse, the stems falling outwards. I tried everything to stake it, keep them upright, but nothing helped. Then one day I put it in a hanging pot and hung it up and that was the trick. The outer stems now gracefully falls to the sides, the inner younger stems grow upwards. Have in a window where it gets morning sun, and it’s doing great.

I got a new one last weekend and immediately put it in a planter. I should have rewatched this video to wait for it to adjust. I have some yellow leaves. $19.99 but I have enough to make two small planters. It was easy to divide without breaking any roots…

Why does the plant need to be completely rootbound in a little pot? Is a bigger pot not way better for the plant and roots??
