It was easier to afford gear in the vinyl days. In the early 2000s I got 1210s for 400 quid used… and still use them today exclusively, mostly with real vinyl but do use DVS sometimes. I had a 40 quid Gemini mixer for years, then a good Vestax, now a Pioneer with DVS capability. So really barely any upgrades in over 20 years. Digital seems all about never-ending upgrades and millions of products that do the same bloody thing.

May be an easy fix I’m new to rekordbox, I have a ddjflx6 and I’m noticing my tempo is maxing out at 148 when I normally mix at around 150. How would I fix this?

For me, a teal garage mixing style is very rough, choppy, and quick. By all means, use the fxs but keep it limited. You need to throw some more chops and cuts. For reference, look at dj ez, hermit and other old school djs for inspiration. But whatever you do, don't go down the new dnb route.

This actually helps a ton. I like how you used hot cues on song 1 to show when to start song 2 for transition.

I got a Behringer DJX-750 and its absolute crap. From the beginning the effects did not work and only put out cracks and noise. After a few month more and more cracks appeared also without the use of the effects.

Volumes of main/booth/headphone correct setup: -set booth & headphone to volume zero -set main to match room/people in the room -set booth to match main volume from the DJ's perspective -set headphone to match booth volume In that order. This is to prevent deafness/tinitus. Also, you don't need headphones that are 125dB+, that is overkill and will ruin your ears. So ditch the Sennheiser HD25.

It won't analyse mine correctly. I'm mixing hardcore in the range of 170-200 and many of them show up at like 90 or something, tried mixing anyway and lots of tracks end up playing WAY faster or or slower than they are supposed to be like , double time, HALP

After you’ve beat matched by ear and your happy with how it sounds do you look at your wave form to line up the grid?
