I'm 59 with serious cat allergies, so I wouldn't call myself a cat owner. Last July when it was 110 out here in the desert, someone dumped a kitten on the land next door. It found us while we were on a walk. should we have let it die? I like to think we're better then that. So it's a room mate, get one you may find yourself a better person for it

I will be making a video in the next day or two about that exact subject as I have discovered more then I wanted to know about the subject. There are two companies that make what I would call costume boots as they have all of the markings of being 60 years old but they are being made brand new, then there are the Fox and Rothco boots, what i'd call boy scout camping boots, but the best boot i'd trust my life on nit falling apart under me would be the Mcrae's or the Belleville. Both are dress shoe comfortable right out of the box.

Back to your quetion, the thing I LOVE about this style of boots is they are lite enough that they don't cause my lower back to hurt at the end of the day, so I wear them open (untied) for the most part and easily step in and out of them like slippers, BUT when going to town i'll lace them up as well as when I need the additional ankle support.
