@thebrainscoop at 7:18 you mentioned “New Zealand”, they are now (since 2022 at least) embracing the name Aotearoa, the indigenous name for the land, and we all should too. If it helps with the confusion you can always say Aotearoa-New Zealand.

Spent time in Iraq, ran across these several times, even laid a sleeping bag near a nest, had babies crawling on me, very creepy. Didn't sleep well for many nights. The bigger ones are pretty scary looking, and do chase after you, whether its your shadow or whatever still scary. I hate spiders.

There’s bunches of these where I live. Last year I had one get stuck in my sink and I just left it there to starve to death, which took over a month. I honestly think it just lacked proper motivation to get out because at one point I turned on the faucet and it just ran up the side of the sink - and into the other side of the sink. I’ve also been chased by these guys at night more than once too - and so far never during the day. One of them once stalked me at night then circled around behind me and ran up my back and went for my neck.
