How long were you actually driving and was it worth the cost?

Actual driving time was about 45-50 minutes. I think the overall experience was worth the cost, but one thing to consider is that it takes about 45min each way just to get to the site. Therefore, if you are only here for the day (i.e. on a cruise), a lot of your time will be spent doing the excursion without much time for you to explore Ketchikan itself.

Great flight and lunch. Also a walking tour behind the lodge to the waterfalls, we did this last April 2024.

Nice excursion! The Wings Airways planes seem to do so many different types of trips even within a single day, it's not possible to do them all. So definitely nice to be able to see a different perspective.

It seemed like their planes were always running back and forth. We were glad that we did the stop at the Taku Lodge as we got to see a beautiful and remote area. The lunch they provided was also really good!

The luggage transfer service is convenient, but if the customary tip is $3-5, tipping is definitely out of control!

It can definitely add up when you have lots of pieces of luggage. For us, we had only 4 pieces of luggage and we tipped the concierge $15.

No I am not mad at Disney Cruise. We were disembarking the ship the next day, hence why luggage and clothes are on the sofa.

Thanks for this comprehensive review. The Wonder cabins don't show their age - or maybe it's better to say they show their age in a good way: the room is not like the generic Ikea-style geometric modern cabin you see on all the recent ships.

I totally agree! For a ship that started sailing back in 1999, DCL has done a great job maintaining the staterooms and adding features to keep up with the times.

It impacted a lot of the cargo vessels but we managed to get through without issues. We were told it cost our ship approx. $600k for the crossing, so that might have bumped us up in priority.

What the next Triton-class ship needs to do is call the Star Wars bar "The Death Star Officers' Lounge". Every time it zooms to a different system, the windows should show a different planet being blown up.

Is it normal for a party of two to get a whole Skyliner gondola to themselves?

It depends on how busy it is and the number of people in the party behind. There were times we were placed with parties of one or two people. There was one time we were placed with a family of 5 (we masked whenever we were with others), which was during the morning before Epcot opened. The gondola does have good ventilation.

The TV being in a fixed position is kind of annoying, but I'll give DCL kudos for the screen's size being so big. Obviously no one goes on a cruise to watch TV, but you sometimes end up doing so.

It seems like going at night is the better experience, since so much of the ride is enclosed. How long was the wait?

We definitely enjoyed the night experience more. The wait was about 15 minutes so not too bad!

Hi everyone. I am currently writng a fanfiction and i struggle so much to match my oc Clare with Steve, Clint or Loki. She is kind and caring but can be very stubborn and impatience. She likes to dance and sing. She has autism and she has powers in energy, can remove mind controll, sense spirits and energyes, track spirits and energyes. She is half american and half Norwegian and she is an shield agent. She likes 90s music and upwards and also tropical remixes, remixes of famous songs and also some rock. When it comes to movies she likes action, horror movies, thrillers and superhero movies. She likes to decorate and dress up for Halloween. Her style of clothes is catual and comfortable. She is fun to be around, bubbeling and she does kinda have a tendensy to jump scare people witout like planned to or ment to do it. She also likes to drink and she rules when it comes to some few norwegian drinking games. She likes to watch pranks but not do i herself or be exposed to pranks so thats why she hates april fools day. Would you match her with Steve, Clint or Loki and why? I can understand if you rather wanna like match here with Thor, Tony or Bruce instead and i would also like your reasons why for your choise on that one too. Thanks for your help everyone. Yes we liked this as well and didn’t notice it as much on previous cruises. With fewer guests on the ships, the cast member and character interactions were very frequent and enjoyable to watch!

I think perhaps the sofa folds down from the back to convert to a twin bed, rather than pulling out like a standard sofa bed. That's how they usually work. Love the magical porthole. Great addition to the inside staterooms. Thanks for the tour!
