한 왕국에 소문난 막내 공주가 바로 프시케였고 그녀가 너무 아름다운 나머지 미의 여신 아프로디테와 견주어졌다고 한다. 그에 단단히 화가 난 아프로디테는 아들 에로스를 불러 가장 못생긴 남자와 사랑에 빠지도록 명했고 그 명을 받는 에로스는 프시케의 집으로 가게 된다. 그러나 그녀를 처음 본 에로스는 프시케의 미모에 반했고 그만 자신의 화살을 스스로에게 상처 입히고 만다. 아프로디테의 미움을 받은 프시케는 그렇게 아름다운데도 불구하고 누구에게도 청혼 받지 못했다. 걱정된 왕은 아폴론 신탁을 여쭈어보았고 신탁은 인간의 아내가 될 팔자가 아니라고 말했다. 그 후 프시케는 산으로 가 자신의 남편을 만나게 되었고 (에로스) 그는 어둠 속에서만 자신을 만날 수 있다고 말한다. 그러나 호기심이 가득했던 프시케는 결국 자신의 호기심을 이기지 못한 채 잠든 에로스를 보게 되었고 화가 난 에로스는 그녀를 떠나게 된다. 그 후 프시케는 고난과 시련을 이겨내는 통과의례를 거쳐 부부의 연을 맺게 된다.

first of all, please stop generalizing. also, this is our immediate reaction. if i watch a mv for the first time, i care about the visuals and the music. that doesn‘t mean i‘m not interested in the lyrics, but nobody can focus on the mv, the song and the lyrics at the same time.
