Sometimes things just fall into place, and you may benefit from in person lessons. I know how you feel, as I’ve had that feeling a few times over the years! Sometimes online stuff, books and videos can only get you so far. Being able to actually interact with people and ask questions in those moments can save you a ton of time with trial and error. But whatever aspect of your technique you wish to improve, start making notes. Always be aware of what it is you’re doing that may be causing the issue. Investigate it a bit and see where your research takes you. It’s amazing what you can discover about your own playing when you put it under the microscope. 🤘🏼

Look at all the nubs running to say "Youre not Downpicking bro" 😂 They seem to think its some kind of Talent to Downpick. Truth is Hetfield cant alternate pick worth shit, which is why he downpicks everything. Dont believe the garbage that he does it for "Tonal" reasons, thats all hogwash.
@Tramaineguitar3 күн бұрын
The funny thing is, if they had no video to look at they wouldn’t even know lol I’d rather play it in a way that sounds like it should, than play it in a way that ‘looks how it should’ but sounds less than satisfactory.
@ardeleansvengali44373 күн бұрын
@Tramaineguitar Exactly brother. In my opinion this is how it "Should" be played, if you use proper and efficient technique.
@Tramaineguitar2 күн бұрын
@ardeleansvengali4437 yeah to my ears at least, those fretted notes don’t have the proper attack (when I play them at least) when downpicking exclusively. I noticed this in my late teens - that it sounded more like the original track when you upstroke those notes. But I’ve noticed those who gatekeeping this riff, would also never even attempt the solo 😂
@ardeleansvengali44372 күн бұрын
@Tramaineguitar It's always the dudes with no solo chops screaming, "Downpicking is Hard bro" 🤣 Sounds killer brother, just like the rest of your original music 👌
@goosetoo19972 күн бұрын
i half agree and disagree with this, downpicking totally IS a skill and it DOES make a difference in sound, it's more aggressive and sounds cleaner/tighter with riffs like this. But i 100% agree that downpicking isnt necessary and people should just be allowed to play however they please lol

To get this tone you do not need any plugin. You need only a Gibson guitar where you cut high frequencies by tone control potentiometer.
@Tramaineguitar3 күн бұрын
You also need to have a wah pedal on a particular part of its sweep. The tone I’m using is a Kemper profile which is already in the ball park. You just need to find the sweet spot on your tone pot.
