What a beautiful story! Unfortunately we weren’t as lucky, having lost two horses to EPM. It’s a horrible thing for the animal to go through. We had excellent vets and went through months of expensive treatment, but lost the war in the end.

Thank. You for this informative video, MSER. I'd forgotten about the need to train horses to ride around trees. A friend took her very calm, young, warm blood on a trail ride. The horse in front walked by a tree and caught on a branch. When it snapped back, the branch banged against my friend's helmet and the sound of the "thwack" spooked the horse. She had to hang on for dear life.
