Does the verb feel acept continuity?
@SarahandHayyan-dp7vm10 ай бұрын
‘I’m feeling happy today’ (present continuous) and ‘How are you feeling? Is your cold better?’ ‘I’m still feeling tired’. In the past continuous- ‘I didn’t play football yesterday because I was feeling tired and coughing. Today I’m feeling worse!’. Does this answer your question?
@manarmansour160610 ай бұрын
@@SarahandHayyan-dp7vm yes I mean that ..becacuse in our curricula, the outhers classify the verb feel as a verb which doesn't accept continuity .

I want to ask you about pronunciation regarding the dark l and light l Where do we pronounce dark l and light l? For example : feel . L here is dark ...when we add ing to the word becomes feeling . Here( l) in ( feeling) is dark or light?
@SarahandHayyan-dp7vm10 ай бұрын
There is a general rule. If the /l/ is before a vowel it’s light. If it’s after a vowel it’s dark. Light/l/ is produced with the tongue on the alveolar ridge. Dark /l/ is produced further back in the mouth. The back of the tongue is tense and arching upwards. Try saying feel and feeling again and think what happens with your tongue. I’m English and the position of my tongue fits the vowel rule. Be aware that Scottish and Irish native speakers of English pronounce L differently.
