Piaggio's design choices with this are just so annoying. Yes, they could just put the battery in the glove compartment which would take 5 seconds to swap out. This is a company which never listens to their customer's complaints. :(

Outstanding “how to” video, but Piaggio can lick balls for making the replacement so cumbersome. Not to mention $60 for a replacement clock? It MIGHT cost them $2? $5?

Hi I have replaced the battery as shown by you, but when you see if everything works, just colleagues, you have to connect all the cables or just put the battery, you can see if it works or not because until now I have changed the battery, but it won't work without reconnecting all cables.

I’d need the exact time to write on my insurance form ‘ at that moment it suddenly burst into flames due to my dousing it in petrol after a day attempting to change battery’ Pretty sure they’d pay out after seeing this video lol Well done sir, excellent example of patience and clear instructions 👍

What an absolute palaver! Such an absolutely terrible piece of design. The battery holder should be easily accessible in the glove compartment. I'd rather just get a stick on clock if I need it! What's my mechanic's labour bill going to be just to change a clock battery? £50?!

Owner: "What's the first part of the dash assembly that will need servicing" Piaggio: "Probably the clock battery" Owner: "OK, and is that quick and easy to get to?" Piaggio: ........ My battery died 8 years ago after 12 months of ownership. I'm replacing the headlight next week and thought I'd put a new battery in at the same time. I'm not going to bother!

I have a 2011 LX150ie. Last time I took the front end apart I wired the clock so the battery is in the glove compartment. Now I don't need half a day to change the battery. I guess the Vespa designer should have had an espresso corretto before planning this!

Not all Vespa levers are the same. The Stella is similar to the Vespa PX 150. If you continue to have problems ask your question on the Modern Buddy Forum in the Stella discussion.

Thank You. I thought my Clock was broken then I discovered it has a Battery. So I learnt from your Video. Though at first after I changed the Battery it didn't work when I put the Bike on the Stand after a ride there was some activity on the display. Then the next Morining I checked the Clock and it was spasmodic , then in the afternoon it worked perfectly needing only to be set. Why it didn't work at first I don't know. There was some Battery leakage from the old Battery so I didn't mind the change but to be dead at first after the change was a concern only for it to work after being left alone. Well done. Though one week on the Clock runs fast gaining 5 minutes a day.

I'm a huge Vespa fan, love the look of the GTS, had several old school PXs in the past, also had several Lambrettas. Scenery is outstanding but the "music" sounds like a high school rock band tuning up.
