I had the pleasure of covering Triton girls basketball when Amber played. The shot that won the game of overtime, stopped my heart for a second and tears came. I turned the mic over to my broadcast partner and he had tears too. What a great experience for a kid who played her role until the big moment came. I have called high school basketball for 48 years and nothing has topped that yet. I know it meant more to me too because I graduated from Bourbon High School and would have loved to play basketball, but then girls did not have that chance. HECK of a math teacher. My favorite move of his was when he would point to one student and call on another. He also coached me a little in track. All around great human.

My dad's brother, "Baby Harold" Banks died Dec 8th, 1918, died of the Spanish Flu. Son of Owen and Florence [Deacon] Banks of Culver. He was almost 8 mos old.
