These Parish Churches are the proud of Britain, l believe. They can be even more touching than Cathedrals.

Very old origins but plenty of victorianisation on chancel. Lovely tower and final result.

Wonderful perpendicular tracery windows and imposing features both in arches and tower.

Huge old building medieval origins, later additions and some victorianisation as restauration is always needed.

Another worthy medieval building full of History, lovely traceries on windows and imposing tower.

Such an old place, simple,yet worthy in a bracing location.

l´m so glad more and more people appreciate and post these gems, the proud of England. And they are all around..

What a wonderful church.

Used to play soccer in the graveyard with John Peach (who lived at Church Cottage ) there, with the Turner boys too. We used old gravestones as goal posts. Those were the days..

Are you serious ! Do you know what the English did to the people of Barra. They were forcibly rounded up and put on slave ships to the West Indies. Literally sold into slavery and indentured servitude.

Having watched every one of these delightful video tours, I want to first of all thank you for your dedication to England's Old Churches. What treasures your country has! Secondly, this church of St. Andrews is by far my favourite. I fell in love with this space immediately. And, while it may not be the oldest structure here, for my money it has all the charm. Thank you!

Viewing this from the USA, I was filled with the desire to visit as soon as I possibly can, after this pandemic, to walk through this space myself. Very serene.

Thank you for posting this video! I'm related to the Andrews and the Lanes whose names are seen on several plaques inside of the church and on the headstones outside of the church. I've been been able to visit St. Mary Magdalene a couple of times and hope to get back there again.
