Love the fractured concrete technique but how do you stop the plaster from falling off of the foam, once you've achieved the desired effect (currently on my second attept!)?
@BPCustomCreations
@BPCustomCreations 5 күн бұрын
Oh no! You have to glue it on. Water down some PVA glue and dribble all over in the cracks so it gets down underneath. Spraying some isopropyl alcohol over the surface will allow the watered down glue to penetrate

Spectacular diorama sir!! It blows my mind to see what you did with those HW cars and tandom junk bits. That robot is fan-freaking-tastic! The road base and that guardrail (😱) is amazing. Just one question...What happened to the dude's feet? Was the impact that powerful that it blew them clean off or did he originally walk around on those two stumps??
@BPCustomCreations
@BPCustomCreations 5 күн бұрын
I spent multiple hours making feet and trying to figure that part out and I actually just decided to stop 😅 it's the one part of the diorama that isn't done to my satisfaction but I was mentally done with the project. It's kind of how my brain works 🤷🏼‍♂️

@@BPCustomCreations I get it, sometimes we can be our own worst critics. I've had to box up and put away many a project because of one little thing that I didn't think was right. I only noticed the feet, or lack thereof, after finishing the video and was looking at the thumbnail again when my CDO kicked in. (CDO is a lot like OCD, only the letters are in the correct alphabetical order as they should be. 😁)

As a preamble, I would like to make it clear that I really like this achievement. However, if I can be critical, constructively, I hope, I would have two remarks that come to me immediately. First, I find that the absence of feet clashes with the sophisticated aspect of the rest of the robot. Finally, this same character introduces, in his pose, a beginning of verticality that, moreover, is not found anywhere else. I find that it creates an imbalance or rather, an impression of unease. I would have liked to find the presence of a purely vertical main element, like a dead tree or a signpost. There you have it, these were my impressions and, before finishing: Bravo!🤩
