I want to purchase a Daiwa BG for use with rockfish and ling cod off the Pacific coast. Fishing a rocky bottom and 60 to 100 foot of water. 2 to 3 ounce Jigs. What size would you recommend?
@J.SFishing9 күн бұрын
Is BG still produced by the Daiwa company?

Nice! But.............. Just curious why not the Saltiga 15 SJ instead? Its a better reel imo. Any plans on releasing Saltiga 6000-p here in NA? Hope you carry all gear models not just XH or H on all your reels. Keep it up!

Can you buy the SV spool separately and put it on the TW model?

SV and SV boost can be found sold separately online, but you’ll have to double check compatibility
@Ardeact5 күн бұрын
@@albertojvel Is it worth it?
@albertojvel5 күн бұрын
@@Ardeact depends on how you’re fishing. Magforce Z reels have a metal inductor that moves towards the magnetic brakes in relation to how fast the spool is spinning. SV reels have a bigger inductor that is mechanical - it sticks out as soon as the spool starts spinning, regardless of velocity. Mag Z is definitely better for max distance, SV helps with skipping, pitching, more precise and controlled casts. I can still get good distance from SV, but Mag Z does cast farther. There’s definitely a place for both, and I have both. Any spool that says BOOST means that the brakes disengage towards the end of the cast to give you more distance. I would say if you’re not sure what’s best for you, SV BOOST is the most versatile and in the middle of all the braking tech they have.

@@albertojvel Yeah the reel I ordered has Magforce Z, I guess it's fine. I only do this as a hobby

Overpriced rod with bad marketing attempt. This is a $200 rod at best. BraidingX, fuji reel seat, and K guides should not be above $200.

All for the affordable price of only $400. LOL. What a joke. It's so unbelievable how gullible people are. They fall for these overpriced overrated products. I use a $40 Berkeley fiberglass rod for the surf paired up with the classic Penn 710z reel. The setup will last me for life. I don't need fancy equipment to catch fish. It's not a beauty contest.

Trying to figure out tatula 300 shaft size for a replacement handle?
@dajahvue3 ай бұрын
Rod butt handles are too long on the spinning models. Have the 7 and i dont like it much. But handle to long then your first guide to far up thus line slap on rod. Its like 3 inches longer than your typical NRX or megabass rods. Its that long. Your technicallly getting a 6'9 for the 7 footer. Just imagine the 6'10 they have with a 17" butt section, minus that rod by 3". Bascially a 6'7. Weird rod designer for bass fishing. Good thing you have the pro elites for the tatula. Oh man who ever designed the zillion hope never touch the tatula line.
