Welcome to the struggle of using wood wicks! They are high maintenance and so hard to work with BUT you will get your perfect candle burn if you keep testing. I am using the ultimate wood wicks 2 .625. However, this size is definitely not universal, it depends on the fragrance and wax you are using as well.

Thank you for the tutorial I want to ask pls Which do you think is better between the base and the carrier oils?

I think the base is better but not as cost effective. Since I am making diffusers for personal use I am good with the carrier oils but if I were selling diffusers I would likely go with the base. I think the base pulls through the reeds better than the carrier oils. However the carrier oils last a bit longer than when using the base. Both have a good fragrance throw though. Hope this helps.

Thank thank you for all your tips and tricks. I am a Newy on making candles and I love that idea of putting a mold on top of the candle. What do you buy from Micheal because I went there yesterday and I got the soy wax and some Fragrance. Do you prefer essential oil Or fragrance oil.

You are so welcome! ❤ The only thing I purchase from Michaels would be molds, pouring pitchers, label paper and miscellaneous tools. I don't purchase my wax or fragrances from Michaels. I prefer to use a mix of essential and fragrance oils. Fragrance oils are more sustainable than essential oils. However, I like to use fragrance oils that are the closest compounds of their natural counterparts and that do not contain any phthalates, parabens or toxic ingredients.

Are fragrance oil same as perfume oils?

Yes they are the same. However, with perfume oils they may have a higher concentration of essential oils depending upon the fragrance.

The key is using the cooling bubble wrap in the Summer for shipping, also, put a note on your website that you only ship out during the week. Weekends can be tricky because the post office closes early on Saturday and is not open on Sunday so your package will likely sit in a hot warehouse or truck for several days.

I got in trouble in a Facebook group cuz I said curing depends and it can be from 18 hrs to a week. They kept repeating 2 weeks and said I’m ruining the education for everyone. I leave it alone for about 3-5 days and they got mad. But I even provided how different candle suppliers say. I’m glad I saw this video.

Yes, I totally agree. Not all curing is created equal. Some candle formulas may take longer to cure than others but for my process 24hrs - 7 days from the day the candle is made to the customers door. I have tested my candles after 24 - 48hrs of curing and they have performed perfectly fine. Strong hot and cold throw, even burn, etc. Do what works for you always! You know your process and your product better than anyone. 😊
