My children grew up with a Golden Retriever who was obedience trained. She was such a wonderful member of the family. Not to mention all the neighbors and children. She was so sweet, but obedient. When I was being treated for cancer, she would snuggle up to me, looking me in the eyes like she knew I was not well.

You are the young American woman fresh out of nursing school who served Us and taught us as educators in our Nursing programs of the 70s and 80s. You are an amazing person. God bless you and your courage to continue onn the answer the Call of Duty. It was a horror. I can visualize it in my head as I worked at an inner city Trauma Center in New Orleans LA in the 1980s.

What kind of a nurse has flashbacks of PTSD? A human being who was traumatized by the realities of the horrors of war- an ordinary human being who has compassion and empathy for the suffering of others. In 1988 I was a young student in Nursing school in 1988s who was approached by women who were sponsoring the monument honoring The Vietnam Women's Memorial at a Texas Student Nursing Convention for Sigma Theta Tau.

I’m an Army veteran from the end of the Vietnam Era, 29 year member of the American Legion, and was recruited to serve as a Local Board Member of the Selective Service at an American Legion meeting. I served for 20 years and was retired. During our annual training we would practice hearing and deciding upon the various appeals by registrants. What people don’t know is we also practiced hearing appeals for medical personnel and this draft included women. The Health Care Workers Draft is separate from the Traditional draft. It could be enacted if they have a severe shortage of a particular specialty like orthopedics or nurses as an example. Our trainer, was a Reserve Army Colonel. My husband is currently still serving on the board.

The Memorial needs to be re-done. Why? Because it is not representative of the iconic photo taken of it by Joe Rosenthal. Harlon Block, who planted the flag is not represented correctly. Also, Rene Gagnon and John Bradley were not involved in the flag raising. All involved with Rosenthal's photo were Marines.

Hatred? Oh you mean that thing that democrats and liberals excel in: they hate whites, they hate men, they hate Christians, they hate Israel, they hate America, they hate conservatives, they hate pro-life people who want to save the lives of unborn babies, they hate anybody who disagrees with them. BTW, I didn't say I hate AOC or Hillary Clinton, I certainly don't like them, but I don't hate their souls. I do hate what they stand for and what they do and the good and right that they, and so many other like them, oppose.

The number of female veterans have been increasing in my Post and we try to get together for lunch when we can. The last lunch we had two Army nurses, one Navy nurse, one Navy Geophysicist who went to Annapolis, and me the Army admin who identifies as a Radar O’Reilly. Veterans speak a unique language, but female veterans even more so. We also have Zoom calls and have a group text.

I'm unaware of their version, as it is fiction. Creepy Pasta may have taken the original accounts and added some more fantasy, but this account was first recorded in a December 2009 article by T. Coghlan for United Kingdom's newspaper, The Times, entitled "Eerie Outpost Unnerves US Marines with Strange Lights and Whispers in the Night". Another legitimate source is a 2020 New York Times article "An Ancient Hill and Forgotten Dead: Afghanistan's Haunted Outpost" by T. Gibbons-Neff and T. Shah. I take my research seriously! I hope you'll check out the book and consider all the evidence.

When I was 11, my across the street neighbor died in Vietnam. Donald Bennett was a 19 year old Marine. Years later I wrote a memory of him on the Virtual Wall. Then some time later I received a call from a member of a group called Canamission that worked to return dog tags found in Vietnam to the family. They were having difficulty finding Donald’s family. So my Mom started talking to the neighbors. I also contacted the Commanders of the American Legion and VFW in my home town. The Commander of the VFW was a Marine and he was able to locate his mother and brother. A State Police trooper from Virginia was also involved. They raised the money to fly his mother in for their Veterans Day luncheon and they asked me to present Donald’s dog tag to his mother. The room was packed with folks from the neighborhood and there wasn’t a dry eye. They recorded the presentation and there was newspaper coverage which I would be glad to share. I’m an Army veteran and 29 year member of the American Legion PA Post 491 in Kennett Square, PA.

Our nation needs a purpose to follow. It must be a noble purpose in keeping with our constitution. We had a noble purpose for fighting WWII. This brave woman would not be able to explain the noble purpose behind our fighting in Vietnam. Nor in Afghanistan. Young Americans in the 60s and 70s tried to tell us but our government wouldn't listen. If they didn't protest we would probably still be fighting in Vietnam today. The responsibility of every soldier to uphold what is morally right and constitutional rises above any command he is given.

I have been discussing the plight of our Afghan friends with my senators and congressman for the past 2 congressional sessions. The number one thing I state right off the bat is that they will be murdered if sent back. The stupidity of putting out a documentary on these individuals is beyond comprehension. I am so sad over this. I wonder if the people that gave it a go can actually sleep at night .
