How wonderful to have this option for finishing our quilts.

Thanks again for another great video. I use the red snappers and started using the smallest optional snappers at the bottom of the quilt top on the left and right to help ease in the fullness. They can be removed, and then the quilt top can be pinned or basted for accuracy. I also press the quilt top and backing at the center on the top and bottom about 6" down before loading.

This is a great idea to use for a class to learn different techniques using Pro-Stitcher. Such a great skill building video!

This is a fun video! I immediately thought of putting the green thread on the red side and red on the green side. love how they turned out! Another idea to make note of!

erosion of the machine feet!!??! I would have never thought that could happen! I learned to loosen the thread tension the way this video does because I kept breaking the thread and couldn’t figure out why it broke.. After the 4th time I took the time to figure out why it was breaking. Took me a while, and this demonstration confirmed I am doing it correctly now! Thank you AGAIN for these great videos.

Do you ever float the top? At the end, I will pin above the stitching line but work in the opposite direction. I also use sashing or block lines that I align with marks (on painters tape) to be sure I am keeping things straightvand square. Works well for me.

Thank you, thank you. I had an antique quilt that was really wonky on my long arm but I watched your video first. I stitched the bottom like Christina did by stitching above the bottom. Boy did it work great . I took the stitches out ahead of stitching. Worked so good . Love the videos.

Great video! Other than being able to smooth the batting easily, why wouldn't you just load and quilt the whole quilt in clearview mode?
@HandiQuilter6 күн бұрын
The batting can get difficult. Another thing to think about is if you are doing any work where you are sitting down. I find that the bar gets in the way of my legs when it is in ClearView. I do know of many people who never use anything other than ClearView though!! Totally personal preference.

I love the idea of going to clearview and down to 2 poles when doing the binding. I will be trying that when I finish the E2E on the quilt that I am working on.

I’ve had my longarm about 2.5 years and I’ve finally wrapped my head around last row and cropping designs that need a lot on the left and right. Looking forward to seeing a possible better way.

I hope the lighting is better than my Moxi 15 as it failed the first month I owned it. I now have add-in strip lighting plugged in to my USB as there is an 8 week waiting drop off for service to troubleshoot.

@HandiQuilter6 күн бұрын
The Moxie ST has a larger throat space as well as built in stitch regulation, and other added features.

If I don't have a ghost line, how do I line it up? I am just adjusting to figure it out and now I have a little bit more of a gap than I want, in between rows. Thank you.
@HandiQuilter6 күн бұрын
Without the ghost lines, you just guestimate how much distance you need between the quilted row and the next row. Sorry I don't have a magical solution!!

What do you consider a basting stitch? And do you knot the basting stitch at each end?
@HandiQuilter8 күн бұрын
Basting stitch usually starts at 4 spi. I usually do that 1/4" stitch up to a 1" depending on what I am basting. No, I don't knot the basting stitch at the end. It will either be removed or covered with the binding.
