Turning the foot peg won’t streamline anything and will create a weak point and something to fail.

If your into fishing wild trout waters hit up Harper creek that flows into Wilson creek , if your heading from Betsy’s old country store it will be right b4 you get to the Wilson creek visitor center . You will see a pull off and trial that goes along the River .

Oct-June is delayed harvest and it’s great fishing for stockers. It does hold a few big wild fish but cold winter months are the best for them and stockers. Summer months it’s best to hit the feeder creeks up high. Always fish up stream even with the stockers they are spooky.

Do people actually catch something flyfishing????

It's potentially the most effective way to fish off the bank. It takes way less time and research to figure out good Flys and good casting techniques for your local ponds. If you can either tie your own Flys or find someone who makes customs, making imitations of the local bugs makes it almost trivial to fish.

I will never understand why people take the type of rod that requires the most skill to overgrown teensy creeks. If it was me, I'd be catching every branch and bush out there.

I fly fish creeks like this all the time in ct for brook trout, it’s for sport and the hunt of a trophy sized native brook trout. The average in my area is probably around 5-7 inches, caught my personal best in a creek similar to this earlier this year at 14.5 inches

I enjoyed this video. It’s nice to see that not every outing is successful. After seeing you catch the sunfish I was thinking maybe the water temperature was too warm for trout. You may have needed to find colder water.
