Amazon would annihilate this market if they decided to make legit software changes to the Scribe. Especially since it regularly goes on sale.

They can't do anything about the darkness of the screen. The way color eink works is that the color layer is on top of the back and white layer and is always on causing it to adjust darker because your looking through the color matrix. You'll need to have a front light or direct light for optimum viewing.

And, unfortunately, the Note Air 3, while it doesn't have the color layer, is 227 DPI, significantly lower than the 300 DPI the 3C has. Boox just released the Go 10.3, which is black and white and 300 DPI, but it has no front or back light, so you have to use external lighting.

@@KevinGamin reason being, Amazon has exclusive Rights to the 300ppi screen until just recently. And keep in mind that 227 is still pretty good and many times better than what you get with lcd. A few reviewers have commented that the difference is negligible and general not noticed my the average person.

Hopefully a better color version with Android 14 is coming out soon. This device is getting dated and long in the tooth.

Did make your own skin? I think it's pretty and I love your stylus holder on the side. Very clever. Where did you find just a clear back case?

It's the clear case for the kindle scribe. They have almost the same dimensions but the Boox is a tiny bit smaller, so while it fits, there is a little bit of space and you need to cut a hole in top for the power button though the charging port space is accurate. I just used some vinyl paper and stickers for the front and scrapbook paper for the back.

This is the 50 thousandth e-Ink device without a fkn GPS receiver, meaning you cannot use it for turn-by-turn navigation on Google Maps... What the living fk is wrong with the manufacturers making these devices - What the fk is their issue with GPS? The sensors cost as little as $3 at wholesale prices in the OEM supplier space, yet they forego such an incredibly important feature of ANY smartphone, e-Ink or OLED or LED...

@@nutellena5364 An Android device without a GPS and Magnetometer is a lazily crippled device by the manufacturer. There is a whole slew of multi-day hikers out there who would love to own a topographic mapping navigator that lasts multiple days on a charge.

I forgot to add I wish there were "covers" for the notebooks because the thumbnails end up being the last page you wrote on. Battery life is good. I charged it on the 29th and the battery has only drained to 39%.

I know this is an old video but your rap here actual sounds better than another english cover I have heard that has more views than yours does, although the singing portions from the girl on the left in blue sounds like she is maybe singing out of her normal range or is having a hard time with it and at the same time not going low enough for the song but it might have worked out better if she went higher instead. I don't know I am just a random music fan looking for an english version of this song and commenting on a 9 year old video you can ignore me.
