I have been really enjoying following your journey. You guys really seem to be loving the trip. My wife and I are about 4 years away from our dream. We started shopping to find what boat we want to do the trip in, (before I found your channel) we decided on the 390 Motor Yacht. So it was especially exciting to find you in the 390! I was following along in order (Binging your trip) and was so excited when your plan to do the Erie Canal was a bust. I love Lake Champlain. I used to boat on Champlain for many years and have missed it since we moved to Florida 24 years ago. So, I literally cheered out loud when you announced that was your change in plans. I was going to wait to comment, but when you said you were so happy that your trip took this "turn" because of the bridge being out I could not hold back. I have a few questions about the boat would it be possible to pick your brains a little?

Congratulations on the Loop! What were your overall thoughts on the vessel?

We are located on Lake Champlain. We just acquired a 30' motorsailer. Thanks for the great coverage of this route. We are planning to do it in reverse.

Did all the locks diminish the trip's enjoyment at all?

Looks like they got get there itis. Do it again but go slower.

What was the size of the dinghy?

Wife and I, actually heading to Jensen Beach, heard on radio there was a space shuttle launch. Pulled off to get closer, evidently everyone else did too. Got to a bridge over Hwy 1 and pulled off. Could see it come up, then we could hear it and then the ground started shaking. Wondering if there was anything noticeable on the water, like the shaking on the land?

Lol. I know I'm way behind, but thinking about the 3 ft tides and saying to myself, wait until they get to Georgia w 7+ ft. Ended up sideways on the end of a slip in a 39' Marine Trader because my dad didn't think I could get a rope on the cleat as we were pulling in as I was just about to jump on dock. Full reverse and single engine boats pull to starboard. I'm sure we'd have swung to port and hit the piling, but I think it would have been better than what we did.😂😂😂

Went to school for 2 years at Florida Institute of Technology - Jensen Beach which is right there by Stuart (Jensen Beach, not FIT. It closed when Ralph Evinrude died. 1980-82) If you're driving on A1A around the area, there are 10's of little pulloffs that have trails like that to the Atlantic. Not Keys or Bahamas but there were times you could see underwater without a mask, just like you were in a pool.

Your crossing wake video just showed up on my KZfaq feed. Now I have to watch you from the beginning. Started Great Loop searches about 4 or 5 years ago. And only 2 of the original ones I started watching put out more than a handful of videos and actually finished the loop. And they were from just a couple of years ago. Don't have much criteria to keep watching, but knowing you finished will get me to watch them all. Plus from what I saw in the last video, you're very relatable. Really want to do the loop, worried I'm gonna be the guy no one wants to travel with. Hahaha. Everyone loves the wife so shouldn't be a problem. If you're wondering what to do now, you cn always go for the platinum burgee

I always let passengers have their turn at maneuvering the boat to boost their confidence and pride of being part of the crew. OK, I wanted someone to be able to circle back incase I fell overboard.

Congratulations! I’ve followed your trip from the beginning. The time sure passed quickly. I so enjoyed the information you provided and getting a glimpse into the life of a Looper. It was great watching you two grow from nervous beginners to seasoned professionals. I’ve always told people that are nervous when starting a new job to be patient, by the time they have been in the job for a year they will be the expert and it will truly be their job. I really see that in you two. You’ve become expert boaters. Thank you for the advice you have passed along and for sharing your adventures. Do not take a chance with the waters of the Great Lakes. It's not worth it. ...Don't be afraid to show life on the inside of the boat. You'll be surprised at how manyy of enjoy seeing people hanging out and relaxing inside the boats while at sea.

That was pretty neat how all of the boats had to go in a group of about 15 boats. Your trip to Chicago was awesome! It was beautiful watching to scenery change to autumn. An awesome video....I enjoyed watching it.

I am surprised you didn’t stay at Baie Fine or the Pool it’s such a great place. I worked on Badgely island for 3 years and lived in Killarney while working. There is so many great spots up there to enjoy.
