PhaeZ "McClane" is as close as you'll get now, and for $700 to $900? No question. I own two.. 18 watt, and a 35 watt version... Definitely a volume sweeper's amp.. Superb Amps...

Now I understand that the mini and an eq pedal should be more than enough for playing srv. I am a ts5 user :))

How did you get the led to change with the speed change? I wanted to do the same with my LEDs in my 147. I would love for it to switch to strobe when I’m in fast, & maybe a slow pulse on chorale. (Just an idea)

Love the Les Paul, but you make that telecaster sing too!

@MATT, all Custom shop Historic Les paul's are structurally the same regardless of year but in 2013 and beyond Gibson started to upgrade some things to more closely match a old late 50's LP like they removed the truss rod sheath, they started to use Hide glue for the neck joint and fingerboard attachment, (the tops never used Hide glue it was Phenol formaldehyde that was used in the 50's). the plastics got more historically accurate as the years progressed and 2013 to present all Historic R8,9 and 0's all got "Custombuckers" which to some are Gibsons best "PAF".

@MATT, Due to the fact that back in the 50s there were no designated neck or bridge model Pick ups like we have today So Gibson was not particular about which PAF went where.👍😂

Did Richie ever tell you I sent your CD to my cousin Joe Capobianco at Sony Music or Sony Records (one of them I forget). This was before he passed away. He really liked the CD. He said his favorite was I'm Afraid of the Dark. I couldn't understand why Sammy Boyd or David Bryan couldn't give you a little jump start. I think your voice is incredible, your really pretty and you're a nice person. Anyway, if you could throw some live performances up from The Lingerie CD I would appreciate it. That's where you really shine, my opinion.

Should have done a couple more from the Lingerie CD. Still have that CD in my car. Every time I play it I say to myself why am I not hearing any of these songs on the radio?

After hearing you and Glen K playing through these beasts, i was just blown away. A plexi guy at heart, but these have something more. Much more..if a tornado made of fire was an amp... I reached out to the new guy building trainwrecks and got no reply. Since then, I've built two exprsss amps. Words can not describe what these things are like . I've built all my drem amps in the last year or so. The honeymoon phase will never end with these things. Im planning a rocket sometime soon and a micro express 1 to 5 watt maybe. Thanks for introducing me to these things. Sad to think Ken didnt make a fortune . RIP

Great tone and showcased really well with a great guitar and player that coaxed some superb tone out of that killer amp. Clarity, and just the right measure of upper mid glass that is both smooth and bright.

It’s a great yet ultimately futile thing: Trying to describe the experience of a great vintage guitar that 99.9999 percent of us will never see in the real world, let alone touch or play, is like… with all due respect, like trying to describe the Sistine Chapel and the trove of treasures in it to someone who has always been blind, and will never get there to experience it in any way. Any yet we watch anyway, trying glean a little bit more of info or another perspective to affirm what we already have heard, and yet for all the great and well-intentioned efforts, and no matter how many videos we watch, not any of us are ever actually closer to the experience but the reviewer, themselves. Such is life. Thank you for a great watch and coverage.

The upper high mids are fantastic. It's compresses quickly. Maybe too quickly. Great clarity. Maybe as good as a Boogie Mk4??? Just kidding!!!.

Sounds frigging great. You can tell that it just wanted to blast off. I would love to hear it in the context of a 3 piece band, with proper delay, and room sound. The high end shimmer is super bight without being harsh. Just the right amount of compression. I love 84's. I own a real 63 AC-30 top boost, and a Liverpool clone.

IMO, The original 1959 and the 2006 sounded the best. I need to compare my R9 & Trad to these recording. Wish I had a Train wreck. Have to use the Train wreck model in my Helix LOL.. ;)

The old stuff is too valuable for me, even if I could afford it I'd be scared to play them - much less travel with them. Just got a used Maybach Lester Honey Pie (came with a name!) off Reverb, and couldn't be more impressed, cost less than $2,000USD. The German made "Amber" pickups sound just like a good PAF, clarity like a fat telecaster!

I have noticed that damm near every player uses a gibson guitar, not my thing as there are no single coil pickups, as in HSS to get the sweet tones in between that set of pickups, so sad. Great playing just not my thing with HH guitars.
