From 🇮🇳, my paternal side of family are Pothohari speakers ( as prior to partition my family originated from Rawalpindi & Muzzafrabad) . Similar case on my mom's side as they Hazarewals ( Hindko) speakers. Even after 75 years we have somehow manage to preserve our language & culture but this may not continue another generation as the current GenZ generation ( born post 1995) mainly prefer English & Hindi even aat home .

Very nice to hear this from you. Masha'Allah your family have kept the mother tongue up to 75 years which is a big achievement. I hope you can Carry it on to next generation and the one after In Shah'Allah... We here in UK are struggling to keep it going. As the now younger generation tends to speak only English but those with grandparents that speak pothwari their younger generation can speak very little and understands it all... Sad but true it will be hard to keep it for another generation or two...
