I never thought of using the whisk to break up hard oils with the heat transfer process. Thanks for the great idea!!!!

Trial apprentice applicant here. Every other video says that the lye and the fat should have temps 100-110. How does this method get around that premise? Thanks in advance for your response 🙏
@OpheliasSoapery11 сағат бұрын
Honestly in my experience it doesn’t really matter. I once soaped with my oils being 80° and my lye water 40°F. 😂 With the heat transfer method once everything is melted it ends up being around 110°.

Where do you get these huge containers you use to combine your oils, butters, and lye solution together?
@OpheliasSoapery2 күн бұрын
You can get them at webstaurant.com or a local restaurant supply store. If you check out my full length videos I have everything linked in the description box :)

The 3 oz bars you made with the leftovers is super smart - very cute too!

May I ask you, is the lye solution that you poured into the fat still hot so that the still frozen fat becomes liquid with the still hot lye?
@OpheliasSoapery2 күн бұрын
The lye solution is over 200°F so it will melt the hard oils.

Maybe asking silly question, but why don't you put all your soft oils and butters together, and then pour the lye in ? 😊
