Great job. I have not taken off the old one yet but I have the new one and there is a ton of room to slip this in from the top. Is this what you did? looks like I have 2 bolts on the back side of the pump and 2 on the front bracket but the middle bolt on the front bracket is already installed and it goes in the side of the pump. anything I need to know before I start this? thanks in advance bud.

Very good video, thank a lot. Did you change the Alternator? I am trying to get the alternator out but i don't know how to because it too fit no space. Please suggest thank.

yes alternator is refurbished ,back when i changed it i had my radiator and everything else off so there was lots of room ,i would recommend just removing the fan clutch and shroud and it should come right out the top or remove lower coolant hose and transmission cooler line and stabilizer bar and drop alternator down it’s a tight fit either way but very doable!!

Unfortunately previous owner decided to dump a few bottles of blue devil stop leak into the cooling system after they overheated the car really bad

I see your tensioner is slightly wobbling. Mine did the same when I put it on. I don’t understand cause the one I replaced did not move. Did yours stop wobbling?

unfortunately it did not stop wobbling with the new tensioner installed im assuming it’s because of cheap remand parts not being close enough to factory specs , i orders three different tensioners all did the same on my car

Well a brand new Mercedes tensioner did the exact same thing as the aftermarket. So I’ll just keep an eye on it.

Maybe you should tell us why you had to replace it in the first place. mine has a rattle noise when I turn on the ac. is that the same problem you had?

Mine sounds like a kazoo at certain RPMs haha I disconnected it and it still does it. I have a spare bearing for the pulley but that doesn't seem to be a problem. It's as though it's stuck on and the noise is from air being pumped into/out of a tight spot...

Did you first try running a professional fuel system and inj cleaner through it ? At my shop we always used bg 44k first. Most times that would fix most driveability issues.

Could you help me, I do not know where the marks are for top dean center. I know about the flat spots on the cams, but can’t find a mark on the crank pulley. Thank you for this episode, I’m learning a lot Alek. 2000 XJR with broken timing chain that drives the drivers side exhaust cam

i personally have not been able to find out any timing marks for this jag , the only way to confirm that i was at top dead center was to make sure my flywheel lock went in correctly along with the cam lockers because the cam lockers can go on right even with the engine being 180 off so it’s important to confirm with that flywheel pin

@@cysini5083 ok, thank you so much for responding. If I can figure out the firing order and cylinder position I can find top dead center with a long dowel in the #1 spark plug hole. That comb8ned with the cam flat spots should do it. Thanks again.
