Why not to use WiFi SD card adapter? Google for "canon w-e1"

This camera is amazing. I have to disagree with it being bad for video, if you have magiclantern you can shoot 14bit 1080p RAW which looks better than most cameras today, you can easily upscale the footage to 4k and most people wouldn't even notice

Why don’t you get an SD-WiFi card?

Hey man! I have the version one of this and recently think an aperture ribbon is broken, just comes up with an error shooting higher than F2.8, have you heard about this problem or ran into it in the second version?

Maybe if you exposed images properly from the get go you wouldn't have to take deepest of shadows up 100%.... Noise was there when you took the shot not because of your ISO choice: kzfaq.info/get/bejne/qbWUn6eq1NLMomQ.htmlfeature=shared

Great video!! Thank you so much. I recently purchased my first full frame (R5, I was finally able to afford it with the imminent release of the mk2) and I REALLY want my first piece of L glass now to truly let it shine, but can't afford the 2k+ RF L glass. I'm thinking this just might be the perfect lens to hold me over until my wallet/credit card recovers from the R5!! thanks so much!

surprised there was no mention of the RAW video hack from Magic Lantern. Improves this camera's IQ by so much, plus adding a ton of video monitoring features, and even some great photo features like an intervalometer

Where you using it handheld? Wonder if it's possible, or a tiny tripod , strobe frame to act as a pistol grip

I'm curious how it would be on fuji, Sony nex, or even micro four thirds. The colors are very nice, they straight out of camera?

If you’re watching this now, trust me, just go for the pocket 3.

When I went from the 5Diii to the EOS R I felt like the auto focus and general operation of the EOS R was insanely sluggish, like I have never cursed at any cameras as much as the EOS R. Many of the things which can be changed and adjusted using muscle memory on the 5Diii required menu dives in the EOS R and EOS RP (like white balance, for example, or toggling from one shot to servo on the 5Diii could be assigned to holding the DOF preview button but on the mirrorless cameras this functionality requires more time, your eyes, a left hand, and/or a little bit of brain power to toggle). I miss having a straight, even row of dual-function buttons on top of the camera, where I could make changes with the camera at my side just by feeling it-- to this day (after five years of owning R series cameras) I couldn't draw a picture of the button layout on the top off any R series camera, it's like they flicked paint blobs on a body and let those blobs dictate where the buttons would sit. Even the physical lock switch on the 5Diii was a smarter choice than the unresponsive sterile push-button on the EOS R, which requires looking at the camera to know if it's locked, or remembering whether you locked it, instead of reaching for a quick feel with your thumb to be sure. When canon went mirrorless they basically took their M50 and put a full frame sensor on it, and designed a menu and touch screen driven camera for Gen Z kids who don't want to put their eye on a viewfinder and don't know why there are "clicks" on the shutter wheel. I miss my 5Diii dearly. I only keep my R6 because it has a flippy screen, but the colors are hot garbage and it feels like a plastic Rebel in the hand.

Thinking about a Pocket 2 for a budget, entry level podcast camera with an external Podtrak P4 audio set up. Anyone done the same?

I love my 5D mk iii My only complain is indeed about the low amount of series pictures, but rarely use this feature anyways. Noise in low light yes, but Lightroom is very powerful in removing noise which makes it no issue anymore

Saw you at Peach, I think it was. Enjoyed it a bunch -- was QUITE toasty -- so had to check you out further and now I'm a big fan. Will be seeing you again at Sun, Sand, and Soul in just a couple of days! But god how I wish I was going to Daze Between, too!!!!

Yes it’s still a good camera for 2024. I still use mine regularly. Not a pro but a enthusiast. I lug this around along with a film EOS 1
Cant use as a webcam. Cant use for livestream away from a direct wifi connection, Terrible support and no 3rd party apps.

The main thing I love about the EOS 5D is how fake the photos can look, especially the very vibrant landscape grass field photos that had been taken on that camera.

As a wedding videographer, would a good use case for this be a far back static shot on a tripod during the ceremony?
