God it takes me right back! These were special day's indeed. When dnb was at it's finest in my opinion. This era was golden ✨️ just pure mixing, MCs letting the music breath. Just 1 MC. 1 DJ in the vibe.

Golden era. So many different creative strands of DnB emerging with techstep, neuro, jazzy, funky stuff. Even the jump up was good back then. These days DnB lost a lot of melody and overproduced imo.
And that's why they call him the executioner 🙌🏻🙌🏻🙌🏻

ah peak Andy was so good, DnB was actual wizardry and magic back then The End was a fantastic club as well, sorely missed Such a shame DnB is so awful in the web 2.O era

Mad how much his mixing style evolved over the next 5 years from here. You can see the Randall influence more clearly at this point, lets some mixes roll out for absolutely ages.

This was an amazing club, right in the heart of London's west end. You'd queue up on Friday and the ram logo would be beamed on the office wall next to where you queue around the venue. Once in, you'd walk down the stairs and instantly, the beats would hit. At the bottom of the stairs, the bar appeared in front, low ceilings and to your left, steps down to the main floor. Where Andy is standing here is like an island - you could dance around the whole thing just with private access to the decks at the back. Where the main lights are coming from in this video was the majority of the soundsystem - basically a wall of speakers at the back of the dancefloor. Had some crazy times here!

I miss sets like this😢 There are no double, triple, quadruple drops...The tune is mixed in and played out. No rewinds. Just enjoying the mix. ❤❤❤❤

@@somedangoutlaw8088 I still listen to the new stuff, but the Amen drops are all but gone, and that Virus better known and Dub aka Butstep seeped into DnB, from the ear peircing awful tones to moshing lol! Cannot think of a worse way to vibe to DnB then mindlessly crashing into one another!!
