I've only ever ridden my XR, looking to build one from the ground up for a cross country trip. A swappable battery would be massive, gonna need to get ahold of an electronics guru. Question, how much battery power does it take to charge the capacitor? could you have a small dedicated battery pack to keep it charged separate from the swappable battery? As far as I understand capacitors charge super quickly so if you had like 8 cells (Idk what is actually feasible just an example) that could last like 40-50 charges before needing to be swapped out then you could make the main battery just a single connection, in my mind I think having the battery slide along the rail into a connection with no disassembly needed, idk if there's a workaround to the varying tolerances of rails but that sure would be something.

Interesting stuff, Both OneWheel and EUCs have alot in common. I have noticed EUCs getting huge volts increases from 84volts up to 156+ in the last few years and the plugs ark bigtime. some of the pro manufactures have started to make cold battery connectors that seems to be woken up by the control board with wake up circuit. Something that is not talked about enough. this adds extra complexity requiring the battery BMS and control circuit to be compitable.

1:01 - 20s2p main battery build 5:58 - boost battery build male / female xt60 connectors for i/o 12 ga wire bullet connector for charge + 2 pin jstph2 connector for balance control system 7:09 - install thor controller to lid w/ thermal paste 7:26 - LED install beginning (12v strips) 8:10 - connect wires to controller (wire charger connector: gx16 to female XT30) 8:27 - connect fungineer's motor plug (with heat shrink over the phase connectors) 8:41 - convert hypercore motor wiring harness to fungineer's motor plug 8:44 - cut motor wiring harness half way, strip wires, tin them 9:01 - determine how long to make the fungineers plug (don't forget all of the heat shrinks) hall sensor cable harness wiring: red - 5v white - temperature black - ground yellow / blue / green - hall signals 10:02 - test fit with rail 10:14 - cable harness (controller <> battery) make one end with all plugs, fit to decide how long to cut the other end connectors / wires: - main power line from main battery pack to boost pack - charge line from charge port to BMS charge input - battery positive line from boost pack positive to BMS battery input - two small balance cables with JSTPH2 plugs for 19th and 20th cell groups - 3 pin connector for tail LEDs 12:12 - install new hardness, tighten the M20 cable glands 12:25 - install LED and pickle BMS with mounting tape 12:36 - install thermistor for battery pack 12:40 - plug in everything. verify polarity w/ multimeter 12:58 - install lids (kapton tape where necessary to hold wires in place) neoprene sponge to provide light compression on the boost pack

I have avoided the GT platform like a GMO Plague. Now that we finally have Bang Bumpers, MTEs and WTFs for the GT platform, I'm willing to commit. Mainly because of how your configuration allows for a lower center of mass while balancing the board more efficiently. My MTE XR is the lightest board I have and it is the only board I have with Flight Fins. Point being, although a VOW is the heaviest heavy weight champion, it can be trimmed down a couple pounds by installing a smaller rim. Congratulations on your superior build! As much as I respect Tony and my buddy's Float Wheel, I would much rather invest in a platform with more access to 3rd party accessories. I so want to reduce the weight of the footpad. It's not clear if you are also offering a front footpad, with sensor. Fabulous work, keep it going. (I currently run Kush Lo, front and rear)The problem is, I can't buy any footpad without the grip tape on it, so waste the grip tape that comes on one, each time I make one for the front. Also, FFM about using them on their controller, We pay for our boards, what we do with them is up to us.

The first 2:30 seconds of this video is simply one of the best one wheel videos ever. I'm not saying the rest isn't relevant. Not at all, it's just that before Stanley even gives the iconic 'What's up nerds?' which, thank you, is also perfect, he has managed to not only wow us with some super tight editing, beautiful overlays, and a true look at what must be so confusing to the casual observer, the way forward. In other words, eliminate the noise, sharpen the moment, and drop the buzz, we are moving onward. I just love it. Past Motion may well be marginally moving forward, but the community is not waiting. With no service centers, and island nations that are long use to going it on their on, VOW is but one of the many small pockets of energy fueling safety (really, this has to be the safest board ever)while improving on lazy designs. Imagine what VOW could do if they could CNC their own parts? An XR style platform with just ever so thicker sides, and drop down foot pads, good ford, there is no end in sight. 2024 is my year to go VESC. There is no turning back. aoxo ahead.

Brother possible to do the same for the GT build and list all the parts needed? The newb here will have to buy the parts and have someone actually build it 😅
