Thanks! This one is built very closely following the 5F6A so the HVCT is grounded to earth ground/chassis ground. The first voltage drop from B+1 to B+2 is through a Hammond choke. If you can use the original output transformer, it has a great sound you can't quite get from the new ones : )

It may not show up in the video but it does move slightly every six seconds and the alternating between digital and analog helps too 🙂

My suggestion is to add a light spreader under the tube, so that backlight will be more consistent. I liked the idea, looks pretty stylish.

I seem to have older or different version acquired in a trade deal. I can get it to be a clock and i can set it but not much else. I cannot see a red LED; only blue plus neon. There is a button on rear side near relay; is that the "toggle" button referred to here? I cannot get it into date mode nor does it seem to have any wifi presence. In this movie you seem to push the toggle button near the front across from slow and fast set which i do have. Can I find or get instructions for the menus on this version?

@@Howchon Yes they do....My friend has some that he purchased from Radio Shack some years ago that he's giving me....I'm guessing they don't have the blue coating.....but I'm hoping to find a see through spray paint.....I found a red see through spray paint for a neon sign I had to redo.....not sure about blue though...
