you said it correctly earlier, it is about how many peaks ov wave moves past you at any given time. what happens in doppler shifts where there is no relative motion is that the source produces a singal that is shifter by some factor depending on the direction of motion relative to the source, and because the source is moving, that shift is canceled out completely, if this was not a generally true thing, we would instantly know how to measure motion relative to lights iseotropy of propagation,

the two way case simply has two different relationships to the propagation in the medium, if you travel at V and C is the speed of sound, and you travel in some direction, sound waves move relative to you at a speed which is your vector V subtracted front he C vector of propagation velocity, so your reference frame has a V* which is a vector equal to C-V both being vectors.. and as you approach the speed of sound, sound traveling in the direction you are traveling takes longer and longer to travel a certain distance relative to you, and sound traveling in the opposite direction from you moves faster and faster. that is why the cancelation is not there, so in a two way or experiment over a closed loop, you will see sound traveling away moving slower and toward moving a lot faster, but if you somehow time dilated by the appropriate amount, the two way speed would remain invariant for you.

no not exatly, the sound version, as i explained a little bit, has length contraction and time dilation according to the speed of light, not the speed of sound, and so the cancelation does not happen with microphones and speakers in sound. u see there is a spesific amount by which this cancelation fails, and it is only made invariant because of length contraction and time dilation. simply do the basic math, we are moving in a medium with propagation velocity C we have relative motion with respect to the medium V we have the distance between the source and detector at D, which is the distance D1 and D2 added together, D1 being the distance spent traveling away from source and detector, and D2 being the distance spent back towards them. when the rig is stationary the math is simple V is zero, and C is C. we get half the time spent for the sound on D1 and D2 and D is the sum. when the rig is moving, we get an expression for the velocity relative to the rig that is (C-V) such that as V approaches C the speed of the sound traveling D1 diverges as you approach C=V, one lenght depending on the direction of travel in relation to the isotropy of C the propagation in the medium, is traversed in a time that can become as large as u want as you approach the speed of sound, while the other distance tends towards 0. this means that the cancelation is not happening at all, any relative speed means a longer time, but now imagine that the rig also has a clock, without any reference to lenght contraction, there is not an adjusted rate for that clock, which makes the longer and longer two way trip count as the same elapsed duration according to that clock, and so the moving rig would have to be slowed down in time for the cancelation to happen, then we have lenght contraction, which is also necessary for the full invariance and not just the time of the round trip, if the rig is a hard body, it will contract, and the rate of contraction is matched with the time dialation in such a way that at each finite constant velocity the round trip is the same according to clocks moving with the rig. that is it, that is what is required for the cancelation dynamically, it is not only about the back and forth, it is necessary to have physical clock retardation to get such a cancelation in a medium moving relative to it with respect to two way trips of sound propagation on the moving rig.

this is why you cna take any basis, which just means any observevr could choose to pick a representation where the light cones are tilted by any amount where there are still propagation directions in any direction relative to the motion of all the matter. .

the velocity of the waves, never depend on the velocity of the source, for light, and other waves, the doppler question confused it a bit, since the frequency depends on the velocity of the source. teh propagation speed in einsteins picture, for every source and every sink depends on on their velocity, which is always 0, so the motion of light is isotropic with respect to their reference frame. but this is ofc just a basis you can take as long as the invariance exists dynamically, but the invariance can exist dynamically even when the motion of light is only isotropic in one frame, the invariance in terms of observables are the same for every observer in any state of relative motion anyway.

yeah the doppler thing, you can have a moving source or a moving sink or deterctor, both produce changes in pitch, if the source is moving, the peaks pile up infront of it with respect to motion in the medium, and if the detector is moving, it is moving acroos more peaks or less depending on the relative motion with respect ot the medium and the direction of the signal ^^. so the relative motion and the relative doppler shift is invariant, it depends only on a sort of total motion with respect tot he propagation speed in the medium.

the sound point i made, pardon the pun, is a bit technical, but it is true. maybe i can explain it in detail some other time. but anyway, when it comes to the relative motion in air of sources of sound, those sources are length contracted and time dilated with respect to the velocity of light, not sound, and so there are then effects of relative motion with respect to the medium, but if the speakers where somehow made out of sound, then the same trouble starts all over again, and the lenght contraction and time dilation would look the same as with light and matter.

it has to do with, and i am referring to the unobservability of the basis with respect to the isotropy of lights propagation relative to frames of reference, which is what you asked "why is that" in reference to, it is caused by simply the inability to measure out light propagating in a single direction, you need some measuring stick that is fast compared to light to do that, actually infinitely faster if u are to be exactly precise about it. this has to do with how time emerges as an ordering of events through causal influence, the past and future influences of an even are absolute, therefore any transformation in representation that does not change these causal relations that make up ordering from past to future in a causal chain, leave the observables invariant. technically we cannot even measure the isotropy of sound waves without reference to the basis in terms of the speed of light, or whatever fastest and most fundamental causal structure is operating. however in principle, all trajectories could be filled in, in the workings of nature itself, and there could be physical consequences of the isotropy of lights porpagation that we just have not figured out yet, and so the question remains open of whether there is any choice in foliating the evolution of the world into time slices of before and after, it might very well be that at the limit of infinitesimal scales and time scales, causal influences are propagating at unbounded speeds, thereby causing every moment preceeding some event to be causally connected to it, in a physical way, not just depending on a coordinate choice, and so there might very well be a total ordering that is asymthotically identical to newtons absolute time, that can never be ruled out, and it would be based on the same notion of emergent causal ordering that relativity is based on.

not really, the measured velocit of light is a two way velocity, for technical reasons, and it cannot be measured in one direction only, only over a closed loop, or what is a closed loop in some reference frame, therefore given the right lenght crontraction and time retardation of the relative change inside a moving system in teh either with a set isotropy for the motion of light, you would still have the same measured two way speed of light for all observers, that is true as well in lorentz and poincaree with the right form for the lenght contraction and time dilation. ^^ einstein just took those correct forms for the time dialtion and lenght contraction by assuming the answer of invariance, and then the theory kinematically was embroided with a coordinate convention where the one way speed of light is invariant in all representations belonging to each reference system, and there u go, but that is not a physical change at all, it is a change in the basis of representation, that is all it is. i could show you properly how to make basis changes for the light cone tilt, time ordering or spacial distances independently or in some sort of mixture, it is easy mathematically do change all of them in different ways without changing any physics.

Frames of reference are always approximations of an ultimately unknowable but ever more approachable frame. Explicit applications with universal implications.

There is a problem with statements regarding verification and falsification of universal hypotheses. A negative experimental outcome not-O will not decisively show the theory false for the simple fact that hypotheses are not tested in isolation but are tested with the help of auxiliary hypotheses. Universal hypothesis U needs auxiliary hypotheses A1 (the instrument used is working properly), A2 (the sample is appropriate), ... , An to be tested. So you are really testing a bundle U^A1^A2...^An -> O. If you get not-O then the bundle has been falsified but that could be because A1 was false or any of the other auxiliaries but U is true. You need a "well designed" tests. Second, it really isn't clear to me that this physicist’s theory is an equal let alone a better interpretation or theory than Einstein’s from this interview. The train and flying birds examples don’t seem to make his case, maybe he wasn’t clear enough for me so I think I need to read the paper as well.

Inflation happens when you expand the currency supply without expanding production and services. More dollars chasing fewer goods = higher prices. It’s actually way more simple than we like to make it. Supply and demand. It does matter who gets those dollars though. When you send money directly to people who would normally be making those products and services they stop making the products and services and just start consuming, which raises prices.

Money has historically just been the most widely traded commodity with certain characteristics such as durability, divisibility, consistency, ease of movement, ease of verification, etc. Such goods would not simply dematerialize in the absence of Govts, nor would the need for humans to engage in exchange with each other. To repeat myself, Govts are not the sole provider of items with properties suitable for facilitating exchange. Rather Govts are monopolists who block all other competition for such products and they derive immense privilege from this monopoly. You would benefit greatly too if you had the ability to freely counterfeit the only "acceptable" medium of exchange in an economy. The end result is that resources are confiscated from the private sector and put to use (wasted) in the pursuit of the plans of delusional egomaniacal bureaucrats who are surrounded by yes-men and are never held accountable for any mistakes. We live in a finite world and it is not wise to allow such waste to continue for long.
