You don’t need UV’s to render in keyshot. You can just poly paint and use keyshot bridge.

The only think that can make a caracter artis is practice. Courses are your guide in thats it.

Yeah but bad practice will just make you a bad character artists. You need to learn from the best to become the best, if you have no guidance it will just take longer and you will not realize your mistakes. With that said, nowadays you don't need to spend a dime because there are so many good free tutorials out there.
