I took the Amtrak bus from Emeryville to SF. After boarding in Emeryville the driver left the bus full of passengers, closed the door and walked away for twenty minutes with AC off and the door locked. It was frightening. Irresponsible.

At least you got your train ride I suppose. I missed out on mine. Avoid these buses at all costs is the moral of the story.

I would like them to also make videos in the near future about the transportation of my country Mexico such as; mayan train the Chepe train the interoceanic train whose trains are an LRT train and trains imported from England of the "intercity 125" with the interoceanic train chromatic. as well as Mexico City with its metro system, metrobus and the new Chinese trolleybuses of the Yutong brand. the suburban train, similar to the suburban trains that exist in Spain. Within 2 years, the new urban train from Mexico City to Toluca and the new Buenavista-AIFA route train that shares part of the suburban train line mentioned above will be inaugurated.

It looks like the line was once busier than what it is now. I like the way this infrastructure is kept alive in Japan rather than just discarded as has been the fate of much of the railway network Australia.

I am currently growing up in Seattle Washington. I have seen trolley buses all the time. Sad to learn that they are a rare sight as only 4 other cities(boston leaving) have trolleybus systems in the US.

Why have drivers in this day and age? Vancouver's Sky Train is far bigger than this network and has been driverless for years.

I miss that beep sound of the intercom activation that would occur when the operator would announce each stop. Nowadays we get that excessively loud automated voice. Old Septa, oh, how I've missed the hell out of you.

It’s crazy that’s there’s no signal priority!
@TohaBgood2Ай бұрын
There is signal priority on the entirety of the T, but the NIMBYs successfully lobbied to make it very limited. Muni is now trying to reverse that and give not just the T but all of its lines aggressive signal priority. They're doing it under the pretext of installing a new CBTC automatic train control system even on the street sections. (This will come with a lot more dedicated lanes too, but that's a separate conversation.) What this new signal priority boils down to is signal preemption. Right now the light cycle is "bumped" by an approaching train's signal priority. The train "asks" the light to change to green. So the light turns green on the next light cycle to let the train pass faster, but the train still needs to wait in most cases. The new CBTC system will know where the train is on the tracks at any given time down to the meter and will turn the lights green ahead of the train. This will reduce the wait at lights to zero.
