Her microchip said Yorkshire Terrier but she was originally imported from abroad by pet peddlers many years ago so potentially a mixture 🐾

It was a sensitive case for a few reasons and we wanted to protect the identity of her owner from local people who would have been able to identify her from her original name

She is so gorgeous 🐾 Maggie has a team fundraising for her but if you know anyone looking to sponsor she is always grateful for that! Mags has two fully qualified behaviourists and a certified trainer, a dedicated 'Wellbeing Team' to oversee her care and an adoption/ fostering campaign across many platforms so hopefully the right caregiver will come forward very soon. From the 6 months she spent in foster we know so much about how well she can adapt to home life with the right support. UK rescues have seen a drop in applications since the pandemic (anecdotally, from speaking to colleagues at other organisations too), there have also been more dogs than ever surrendered and dumped with a growing amount of Collies on the list so we are acutely aware that she is competing for a limited amount of homes with dogs at other rescues. With her extra considerations and needs, she needs that gold dust extra special home but we remain positive because they all get there! In the meantime we will make sure to continue giving her the world and all of the resources we have. Stay tuned for her upcoming video diary about how she is visiting a volunteer's home for extra time out of kennels ❤

We completely agree, dogs are so intuitive and so in tune with their companions of all species ❤ Grief is tough for all of us, but perhaps having been present for his caregiver's passing, it will be easier for him to process than if his mum went to hospital and didn't return. We will make sure he has all of the support he needs throughout this journey as best as we can, thank you for taking the time to leave a comment
